"You know it's not polite to look the other way and act as if no one's talking to you when in fact I am and I asked you a question. Didn't your mom and dad ever told you that?
Silence.
"Suit yourself. I'm just going to help myself with this delicious orange juice. I'm really thirsty after eating all those peanut crackers."
Silence.
And that's why, had @brittandjosie stayed a tad longer, she would have seen the wooden bird lying on the floor with its beak broken. Squawk isn't that patient with ill-mannered birds.
