FUNNY BIRD
Wow. The days just blow by so fast the next thing I realize is that my favorite SMAP Contest is about to end in less than 8 hours. I didn't want to miss this week so here I am cramming to meet the deadline. I hope I make it.
Are you guys familiar with Wolverine? He's a Marvel Comic character that has retractable iron claws which come out of his fists. The claws are virtually indestructible and can cut through almost anything. Here's how he looks like courtesy of Shutterstock.
Well you might be wondering what Mr. Wolverine has got to do with my SMAP entry. Well it started with something I saw while looking out of our garden.
Seem very normal, really until I noticed a movement. A flutter here and a chirping there. A bird was roosting on one of the branches.
A bright yellow and blue with a smudge of greenish brown. It was a Sunbird! A male sunbird.
I took pictures all the while just in case a theme in a future SMAP Round might fit the photos. But suddenly he looked down and all I can think of was it reminded me of Wolverine with its bright blue and yellow feathers and its round head and its beak acting as the nose.
I thought it funny enough, it looking like a bald Wolverine so I decided to enter it in this Round. I hope you think so too.
The last photo is my entry. And that's it. I hope this still makes it in time. A blessed Sunday to all.
