These photos were taken during our recent vacation in India. We were walking around our village, which is surrounded by farms and wetlands. I spotted some waders searching for their prey in the wet, muddy land; there are always small fish or worms that make them happy. I always wonder how they manage to keep their feathers so white despite the black, muddy dirt.

After seeing these photos you might be wondering like me.

It's a mystery how their feathers are kept clean, can't say the same about their legs. LOL
