Eliminate Colour For Contrasting Tones In Birds

White Light With Absence Of Light

This week one out of all the photography I have original taken in monochrome, all the other photos have been adjusted using FastStone Image Viewer software for this contest.

Which photo is the original black and white?

Yellow-billed Duck giving a quiet shy look over the shoulder....

Jacky Hanger Shrike ready for food action on passing insects

African Fish Eagle with treat of the day

Pied Starling strutting his stuff

Sacred Ibis enjoying the midday sun - (the only original B&W taken)

Something different testing camera using different features something I don't do often enough. Learning new software another fun venture using FastStone when I normally rely on GIMP!

Removing colour for visual difference, each frame comes to life attracting attention to detail, creating focus tweaking slightly on curves.

I love these monochrome shots, you can appreciate every detail of the image very well, without the interruption of colors
Beautiful variety of birds you have there, I really appreciate that you let us know
Have a nice dayHow are you dear friend @joanstewart good day

Some define the feathers brilliantly which was totally unexpected only having them in colour.

Mono certainly brings out the design. Nice choices.

Was pleasantly surprised, thanks for visiting.

Nice pics. I use Snapseed because all of my pics are taken with my smartphone, but the results using the app are great.

I'm not that smart with smartphones !LOLZ hopefully information sharing gives users ideas to take the time, find app's to work with tweaking a little.

What is black and white and red all over?

(4/4)@acesontop, I sent you an on behalf of @joanstewart

It's quite simple.

Great black and white bird photo choices! The lack of color does allow you to appreciate the detail.

Had fun after Neli reminded me, enter by putting thinking cap on 😇....

Oofty these are awesome in black and white. The contrast really makes them pop! I have no idea which was the original B&W one but I hope it was the duck as the feathers look fantastic but I have a feeling that that one was tweaked from colour!

Duck conversion turned out to be fab, standing posing those amazing feathers.

They really turned out to be stonking good!

Nice selection of birds, Joan. The images are lovely in black and white.

I’m guessing the Pied Starling strutting his stuff is the original b n’ w.

Sacred Ibis I took in B&W while they were strutting around, actually had better captures of them up close in colour.

Have a great Saturday Jo

Fantastic images! Love them all and must say they look stunning in black and white.
I haven't used FastStone. But I think to give it a go by judging the results you have produced.
Thank you so much for your excellent entry. And again you have a proverb just in place. 🙂

Using desktop I find the software much quicker and easier to work around, great you enjoy the proverbs.

Thanks for visiting and running a neat contest always Neli.

I am mainly with tablet, but sometimes I can use the laptop and I have no proper photo editor for it.
And I want to thank you for your constant support. ❤

Love your photos @joanstewart! That African Fish Eagle might be my favorite though! 💖

Thanks, he does look handsome enjoying the treat. Have a great day!
