Weeks Fly - Must Have Wings
Hanging onto fringes of sanity, birds to the rescue, it must be Feathered Friday and yes a Tit popped into frame, a first for me not that twit never gave itself away. Apparently noisy, well he/she never vocalized their arrival, delighted with a first time sighting!
Southern Black Tit Melaniparus niger is not under any threat in numbers. Nice to eventually make acquaintance with one.
Research is fun you learn to identify the song of the bird which I have heard previously, what a tit!
Needless to say they not easy to photograph, another bird the moves at haste with speed consuming insects of which the wasp sounds high on the menu (note to mankind don't eat the insects)...
Monogamous breeding pair with up to four helpers may be close at hand, now it's up to me to keep alert I may be fortunate to see some more.
Now I feel contentment knowing some of the relations they have in the Northern Hemisphere forest habitats with Chickadees, Titmice, variety of Tit bird photography shared, bearded, willow, great, long-tail, blue, coal, crested, white browed, marsh, tufted to name a few which do you have arrive around the home or close to home?
Daytime Walks Taking Breaks From Work
Who else is in the garden right now, pretending I don't exist is the Dark-capped Bulbul with his cute yellow feathered bum, my chatty fellow here in the wooded habitat of our garden.
Southern Masked Weaver glaring at me with red eye behind the black bill, very busy building this time of year, the harem is waiting and Summer is coming...
Small flock of Bronze Mannikins chirping at me to bring more seed, what you waiting for slow coach we gotta eat before nightfall, it's mid-morning!
Well that is the week the was, snow last weekend feel widely throughout our mountain ranges, more predicted this weekend with lighter falls. Two days of cool fresh breeze then plummet back to warm days, betwixt and between seasons yo-yo. Have a wonderful weekend to All.

My phone isn't for taking photos of flying animals, so I don't really take photos of birds .

I was expecting something else LOL....
Haha knew some minds would go there....
🙄😂🤙
Greetings! It's a pleasure to meet you through your words. Wow it's not easy to photograph these little friends, although it looks like you have more luck than me in your attempts, the photos are adorable. What I like the most is that you also investigate and learn something new, how to identify them, in that we are very similar, and not only do I do it with birds, but everything that catches my attention 😅 The last picture was my favorite, that little guy was giving a great concert that day hahaha. Happy weekend Joan!...
My love of the outdoors and nature was something introduced to me from a very young age, both my parents passionate in different ways.
Birds are ever present, it shocks me how often people simply don't notice them. Last picture is smallest bird in South Africa The Bronze Mannikin - Spermestes cucullata.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend, thanks for comment and visiting!
Your garden is alive with birds of all kinds Joan, lovely photos as always! I so miss our garden birds, Poe has chased most of them away.
The weather's really playing tricks with us. I just hope it's not going to be as bad as last weekend. My son drove down from Joburg today, is going back on Wednesday.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend Joan🤗
Birds help me get through the days with more walks I must be honest always something to stop and see.
Lovely to have your son home for a few days, enjoy! His drive back he might see some snow apparently a light dusting on Monday again. All depends on the snowfall and route he drives.
Loving the rain, sad we couldn't get a walk with Woody to escape the home for an hour or two....
A wonderful weekend to you too, hopefully not lives will be lost when it snow heavily in SA again.
It's back daylight saving here in NZ as the clock went an hour ahead today. I need more sleep for goodness sake!

Changing times must be a hassle to adjust sleep, although longer daylight hours now means you may be able to go out more.
Yes probably during the holiday, after feeling like am beaten up from work I just want to eat and sleep lol.
I need a break will consider in the new year possibly escape for awhile. 7am to 11pm no longer timing I once took in my stride.
The family of tits is so big. We have lots of them around and most commonly the Great and Blue Tit, occasionally - the Coal and Longtail tit. It is nice to see their cousin, so different it looks
A delightful post! Thank you very, very much for your entry!
Arrive with so many descriptive names surprised me somewhat, got me thinking how varied this bird is. Always a pleasure sharing birds in our region, blessed to have wonderful variety.
I love seeing all your beautiful, colorful birds. They are all so different looking compared to ours here in eastern, N.Y.
Birds are cold and wet at the moment with sudden drop in temperature once again, feed morning and evening, they deserve it, bring so much joy.
Interesting similarities around the world, many species arrive that may have a connection in one way or another.
