White Crown Sparrow
I watched this sparrow most of the afternoon, on the forest floor picking up the sunflower seeds that the purple finch was spilling from the feeder.
They have what is called a natural alertness mechanism, this....

I only see them during migration, but I always think they look like they should be riding a bicycle with that helmet on. 🚲😁
lol....sparrows can be a challenge to identify...not this guy....lol
