Show Me A Photo Contest ~ Bird Silhouettes.

in Feathered Friends4 years ago (edited)

This week the Show Me A Photo Contest is all about bird silhouettes. Many thanks to @nelinoeva and the Feather Friends team for running this awesome contest!

As with photography the one basic rule, that I think any photography should know if not you will soon learn, is that you don't shoot photography directly into the sun if you basically like to archive a good photo you always get the better results if the sun is behind you illuminating the subject in front of you, but even then it can fail giving you a silhouette result like the following photos of these birds I am going to show you. In some cases you may be able to adjust them through some editing app but mostly not they can turn out looking even worst by trying to fix them. In my opinion some times a silhouette photo can actually look more interesting, magical and realistic like black and white photos and I don't mind them at all, the funny thing I have found, a silhouette photo can happen unintentionally but when, you what to take a specific silhouette photo for any reason or purpose it never seems to work out right can be very annoying so then it's best to try and do it the unintentional way might work better....just kidding 😁

So here are some of my unintentionally silhouette bird photos first being which I think may be a Kingfisher bird.

The Wedge-Tailed Eagle found in Australia is got to be my favorite bird love these guys.

A couple of Dove birds obviously no social distancing happening here.

A lonely small Magpie bird I think just hanging around looking for some company.

Not sure what these two birds are but they were having quite a intense face on personal conversation.

Great silhouettes! You have bald eagles in Australia?

Hi @melinda010100 you see that's how much I know about birds all Eagles are Bald Eagles to me but I did have a read on google and no we don't have any Bald Eagles in Australia in matter a fact the two I photographed are called Wedge-Tailed Eagles.

WOW, you got a lot of nice shot. I never get a change to take a photo of any flying birds.

Thank you @kidsisters flying birds are not easy to photography I just got lucky 😁

nice silhouettes. the first photo is definitely some kind of bee eater, the beak is unmistakable and the pair with the forked tails are some kind of drongo.

Thank you @eolianpariah and thank you for informing me of there names, i love birds but useless with there names apart from the common birds 😁

I love these @kohsamui99!! That first photo is my favorite and a great entry photo! Good luck in the contest!! 💕

Thank you @deerjay for failed photos they did come into good use, never delete a photo you never know when it's needed 🤣

You're very welcome and so true. Sometimes you can edit them and they come out surprisingly well and sometimes not but always worth a shot! 😁
