Life's Simple Joys!

in Feathered Friends13 hours ago (edited)

Phew! today was a whirlwind. My desk was piled high with tasks, and I spent the day attending to clients via phone calls and chats. Fortunately, I sealed some advert deals, managed to clear my workload, but by the end of the day, I was exhausted and stressed.

I got home, showered and took some fruits. To unwind, I decided to take a refreshing walk outside. Nature has a way of healing, and I craved its tranquility. Moreover today is for #wednesdaywalk.

As I strolled, I caught sight of some feathered friends - three birds. The birds were perched high above – one on an electricity pole and the other two on a towering palm tree. I zoomed in with my camera, fascinated by their serenity. Though I'm no expert, I wonder what species they might be.

The pair on the palm tree seemed engrossed in conversation, their soft chirps filling the air. Were they sharing tales of aerial adventures or debating the best insect buffets? Maybe they were gossiping about the chickens' love lives, lol.

The solo bird on the pole watched with interest, occasionally interjecting with a thoughtful chirp. Was it offering sage advice or simply enjoying the camaraderie? Only if I knew 😅.

As I gazed up at the birds, I wished I had wings to join them. Alas, my feet remained firmly grounded. Guess I'll stick to admiring the view from down here – no risk of flying into a palm tree or pole! hehehe.

Further along, another set of feathered friends caught my eye - three charming chickens. Hmmm, I guess three's my lucky number today. I'm starting to think the universe is trying to tell me something - take more walks! 😅

One, a fiery red-headed cock strutted purposefully, as if on a mission. Perhaps he was a messenger, or simply enjoying the thrill of the solo adventure, lol.

The other two – a sleek black red -headed cock and a lovely hen, strolled in the same direction. The hen led the way, with the cock following at a respectful distance, as if engaged in a gentle pursuit. Hmmm, it seems like they were old friends, or perhaps newfound lovebirds, no, love chickens, lol? Well, I wouldn't know.

Strolling further, I noticed a mango tree's seasonal cycle unfolding. Its old leaves, golden and worn, carpeted the ground. I captured the moment, struck by nature's constant renewal.

The walk was just what I needed to recharge and rejuvenate. Being in nature reminded me to slow down and appreciate life's simple joys.

Thank you for reading.
