Flamingos of Cagliari (Italy)

in Feathered Friends3 years ago

Quite recently (June 2022) I had an honour of visiting Cagliari, Itali. It's a town located in the south of Sardinia island. It is known to be often visited by groups of flamingos seeking food in it's shallow lakes. They tend to get closer to the shore near the dusk. I found them around 15 metes from the shore completely ignoring roaring cars on nearby street. I decided to take some zoom-in pictures of them. I used my old Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 bridge camera (compact super-zoom). I set up ISO100 and reduced EV a little as their bright colour contrasted strongly on dark water. I wanted to preserve details of the birds ignoring how dark (and noisy) the water will become. Here are the results.
