american Avocet (*Recurvirostra americana*) round 177

in Feathered Friends4 months ago

Dear community.
In this contest I come to present a bird species that I had never seen before or knew existed, but with the rains in the place where I work, large puddles form and birds that commonly live near beaches arrive.
Avocets are shorebirds, but last week they came to visit the puddles at my work. As you can see, they camouflage themselves from a distance, but when you get closer, they are beautiful. They have a curved, thin beak and they were eating. I hope you like these photos for the #round 177 contest. Feathered greetings!
