An Unfinished Story

The score is tied in the bottom of the 9th. The bases are loaded with 2 outs and 2 strikes on the batter. These Wisconsin Black Faced Ravens can upset the defending champions Maryland Wild Turkeys with either a hit or a walk. As the Wild Turkey ace pitcher winds up what could be the last pitch of the Major Bird Baseball League for the season the Ravens are all holding their collective breaths while sitting at their fence which also doubles as their dugout. Will it be a strikeout? Will it be a single? A homerun? Some couldn't bear the tension packed moment and look the other way. But most are looking intently, hoping against all hopes that their Cinderella season will culminate in a championship pennant. And finally, the moment of truth. The pitcher lets go and the leather covered sphere flies, hurtling in the air with incredible speed! A curveball tearing down towards Tiago, the Raven's clean up batter. And . . .

"I don't see them yet, any of you see them yet? Where are they, it is time to get this show on the road." Walter asked of his buddies, no one in particular, just talking out loud to himself really.

"Who are we waiting on? What show are you talking about Walter", Charlie the squealer asked.

"You know the nameless gecko, and his squirrelly buddy, the cars are going to start coming soon, I want to see the drivers faces up close and hear the squeal of braking tires. It is always fun to look at the shock, and the awe of the spectacle". Charlie stated as he continued to scan the grounds for the sneaky little squirrel.

“This is Control Tower. Confirm your status Agent Caw.“, replied a voice.
“Location Secured. Alpha team waiting to move in position. Awaiting orders.Over”, replied Agent Caw.
“Noted Agent. Proceed with Operation Monkey Business. Over and Out.”, replied the voice.
Agent Caw looked at his fellow comrades.
“This is it soldiers ... talons on that fence!!! Everyone take position ... In a line...I want eyes ... Left Right Left... Billy at the far end of the line ... cover my 6. Keep your eyes wide open fellas ... coz we are bringing down some monkey business today”, Agent Caw smirked as he got into position with his comrades.
Operation Monkey Business was a go.

My story is just like a guess.
The first bird from the left had polluted the air during the last meeting that they had and it's facing strong level of stigmatization.
Mere looking at the bird, it's appealing to the others but they just gave it a *Go no Go attention.
It hurts.

This is my story

On one beautiful morning in the city of birds and human, Artudy (the first black bird) spent all its morning listening to newspaper headlines.
The radio was sounding very loud that every bird around its block could here it.
Of all the headlines read by the broadcaster, most of them were news of covid-19 pandemic.
The one that shocked Artudy the most was when it heard that the numbers of infected and dead people have doubled.
The next day, Artudy went out to look for what's best for the tummy. As Artudy got something to eat, it came to the fence to rest.
Lo and behold, other of its friends came to chat but the reverse was the case.
Artudy said to them as it maintained normal social distancing;

What’s the story?

“I don’t know what all the fuss is about Henry. Where all the people who used to be walking along this street?

Agnes turns her back to the rest of her hungry flock as she looks at Henry.

“Agnes, haven’t you heard about Covid-19? It’s a terrible disease that has put the whole world into a stop down and the humans are staying home.”

“That’s unfortunate, We might as well go into the forest and search for lunch since there will be no tourists around to throw us some scraps of food.”

Little Joan has gone missing, the last report said she was found in the road way.

Three days into the search and no presence of her. They decided to log on the bars searching for days which turned week. Their countenance was saddened.

"We saw a man holding a bird which looks like Joan" a caller said

" Hey, guys , let's not take chances, we may not know the exact direction he will take, let's look both ways" Joan's dad told the other. " I will stay here watching and ready to take action incase there's a sight of her"

Here's my story

"Hey Tom, you think Miss Mia will let us eat from her yard today?" Fifi asked.

"Hmmm, I don't think so, remember what happened the last time? Let's tell Fred to go take a look." Tom replied.

"Hey Fred, you mind helping us out here." Said Tom

"Hell yes I mind. I can't go in there, have you forgotten so soon? I almost lost my life the last time. Besides, Nate saw her setting new traps, no way I'm going in there." Fred yelled.

"O boy, I'm so hungry, I can't feel my eyes, we need to do something." Fifi cried.

"Calm down Fifi, I know how paranoid you get whenever you're hungry but not to worry guys, I discovered a new place yesterday, it's just 5 blocks behind Mia's.... Wooohooo." Nate shouted in excitement.

WOW, that is one epic photo of
birds perched on a fence in a busy street!!
They aren't like the birds in my neighborhood...
pigeons that are aloof and distant.
Are those ravens? crows? blackbirds?
I am guessing that those are Jackdaws.
No matter what they are, I can name them!
That's Felicetti, Felix, Florice, Finn, Frida,
Fabian, Francine, Floyd, and Filippa!
And they are Feathered Friends.

After a brief meeting held at the city center hall, most Ravens who made the top list of Raven coin holders gather beside the financial institution to protest against the ill-health of their funds.
Amidst the rampaging covid-19, some rich ones refused to maintain the normal two feet social distancing which got the first Raven on the Photo worried.
What it did was just to save its birdlife before the money in the bank.
