Along with everything else that is happening, the weather is not being kind to us. It is a dark and gloomy day and they are saying we could get 2 inches of rain, which may cause some flooding.
Since I am not out taking photos, I looked through my archives to see what I could find to share for a #featheredfriends post and came up with a selection of heron photos.
Great Blue Herons appear blue-gray and have a wide black stripe over their eye.
Order: Pelecaniformes Family:Ardeidae
. 
They often stand motionless as they scan for prey. They may wade through the water and move slowly, but Great Blue Herons, using their dagger like bills, can strike like lightning to grab a fish.
