I don't know if Standing Seagulls could be a band name, but I am pleased to find these birds standing around ready to pose. I feel like they have this distinguished look to them when I see their stoic stance. I also notice the subtle and not so subtle differences between these different birds. The first one has a much thinner and somewhat longer-looking head; in the 2nd and 3rd shots, the seagull has a more rounded and squat head.
The water draws these birds in, and its a great place to find so many lounging around in the middle of this plaza in downtown Calgary. I am sure they are well fed from all the breadcrumbs and pieces left on the ground, and I picture this place to be almost like a resort for Seagulls, abundance, water and sunshine al around and no fighting just hanging out having a good time.

Wow, very beautiful. in the second and third pictures, the bird starts to realize that someone is taking a picture of it, so it tries to look cuter on the camera screen.
Thanks, haha that is so true. They love to compete!
