Birding and Photography Weekend. [Eng/Esp]

Greetings, friends of this beautiful community!

After a few days without sharing bird photos, today I want to surprise you a little. Starting in October, the Cuban fields begin to fill with color with the migration of birds coming from North America to the Caribbean. Some came early, but now, with the arrival of the first cold front, many more are seen. It's like a party where the new arrivals mingle with those who live here all year round.

1.- Blue grat Gnatcatcher / Rabuita / polioptila caerulea

With this as an excuse, I went out to the countryside and chose the Sierra de Anafe, located in the province of Artemisa, very close to Havana, a place that has long been a key point for bird watching. The best thing is that I didn't have to walk very far, there were already several birds waiting for me in some branches! So I got down to work.

2.- Black and White Warbler / Bijirita Trepadora / Mniotilta varia

The light was not in my favor, which forced me to try harder to take good pictures. Besides, these small species don't stay still for a second, so photographing them becomes quite an adventure.

In the end, I really enjoyed it, as always. The world of birds is exciting, and I know you love it too, so here I share with you the pictures I managed to take, I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

4.- Cuban Tody/Cartacuba/ Todus multicolor

5.- Cattle Egret / Garza Bueyera / Babulcus ibis ibis

All photographs were taken by me and with a Nikon D200 camera, lens 70-300mm.
