Hello bird lovers, this is my entry for this week's FeatheredFriends contest, with the BIRD ON THE ROOF challenge.
I took these photographs from my house, unfortunately I could not take many captures since the bird was not long in the same place and flew away a few seconds after taking these only three photographs.
In the images we can see a magpie resting peacefully on a roof near my house, it was the first time I saw a magpie on that roof, they are usually in the trees, they are not birds that like to be on a roof.
I must say that I need the maximum zoom of my camera to be able to take these pictures, I practically reached the zoom limit, without losing much quality in the images.

Magpies don't stay still, pretty challenging to capture them in frame.
True, it is the most difficult bird for me to photograph, and I have fewer images of it in my gallery.
could not but 146% agree. I had magpies at my country place, spent 2 months there last summer - and could take zero (!) shots at all, even having 30mm tele... they simply did not let me come close for a shooting distance... nasty criminal birdies! not foto-friendly at all =)
:P
wow - a magpie! cool shot...
