Five Black swan(Cygnus atratus) arrived at the Gannel Esuary, Newquay Cornwall back in May 2016. The Black swan is not native to the Uk and are escapees of captive and ornamental collections. The native home for the Black swan is wetlands of southwestern and eastern Australia.
Here are a few photos taken at the Gannel estuary and then the Trenance boatng lake were they stayed for around two weeks before moving on.
I've add some Mute swan photos too, so you can compare the difference.
