Shame, the doves are also limp in the heat today.
I only slept about 2 hours last night and it is hot over here. So we didn't go out as you know what one feels like after a long night with no sleep.
In my younger days it never troubled me, as I often worked double shifts, but now it all seems to catch up on me and it takes it's revenge on my bones.
So I sat here limp in the study as I cannot sleep in the day and I took photos of the doves' sauna hour. Every day at exactly the same time.
I am sure that the doves watch the clock on the church tower :)

For some reason this flower pot is favored by all in the garden as I showed you a sleeping squirrel in this same pot.

Stress is certainly bad medicine for anyone. Yes, a degree of stress is necessary to keep us on our toes, but stress both at work and at home will eventually get to one. We are mostly on the run every day and I think that Mother nature is sending me a message here with the doves.
Just yesterday we spoke to a young lady that volunteers in the charity world and she for some reason started talking about setting boundaries.
We normally take everything on the fly, but we started to switch the phone off at night. So yes, we are working on the setting of boundaries, but not to an extreme as we have to be available.
My brother in law, same age as me, is seriously ill and we don't know if he is going to make it, so everything is touch and go. A real madhouse lately.
Time in the garden makes me very happy what with all of the action by all of the little critters that live here and it takes all of the troubles out of one's mind.

He is serious and things are bad. Stress we will always have in our work, but learning how not to internalize it is what we are learning now.
Oh yes, a cooling down tactic as when they open their wings it allows the airflow to touch their bodies.
Very relaxing to watch and sadly we had someone's cat here today while we were out and it killed both of our Robins. Marian cannot stop crying and I buried Robbie and his little wife.

Wish a law was made to have cats wear bells, all pets sterilized! We have seen horrific effects of neighbours allowing dogs to breed, wild cats breeding everywhere, monkey population going into overdrive where one can do absolutely nothing but watch the horror show!
Am actually surprised the Robins were the ones, normally doves are taken.

Dog breeding, dog fight betting, feral cats and in your case monkeys, a horror show indeed.
Young cats and only once were one of the smaller doves killed, but also not eaten.

Having Woody in the garden he chases the feral cats and monkeys out of his territory, neighbours are direct problem where none of the dogs are fixed. Nice enough family just don't enjoy their outlook in life as to how pets should be treated, zip the lip now after having given them books when first pet arrived.

Shame Troy is now too old and he doesn't even chase the squirrels anymore. He is in his 17th year and lately sleeps most of gay. Only nips outside briefly to do his business and the he is back inside.
He has been neutered yonks ago and even has his own medical history book at the vet. Known as Troy Smith 😉
Maybe you must just ignore the neighbors, I know it's hard to do, but your kind concern doesn't seem to have the desired effect and so just say Selah.

Friendly and greet adults, children still enjoy a chat being only 7 so I enjoy her little conversations.
Troy has made a good innings, poor old dear needs his rest after years of protecting and chasing much that moved on his territory.
2 hours sleep....... Ouch!! That's never good, thanks for still taking the time to share some photos.
We had worse times my friend and even then I still posted humorous stuff every day.
Just my way of looking at life.
