Now before you stone me these are Peacock ladies and Marian was happy.
The first two photos are of one of the peacock babies taking food from Marian's hand.
We were at an open air restaurant on a farm having coffee and when the peacocks appeared Marian scrambled to get a fresh cheese sandwich.
She was in her element feeding the mom and the two babies.
It was interesting to see how the mom taught her babies how to take food from a human hand.
This was when they arrived and the mom led her babies straight to our table.
Now look how the babies were watching their mom take the food from Marian's hand.
It was that bigger baby that came in after the mom to take food and the smaller baby was not up to the task yet. But she will learn.
Here we had the dad Hadeda Ibis at the back, the youngster in the middle and the mom at the right.
Now here below is something entirely different.
Here we have Harry the Egyptian goose warrior on our roof at sunset.
I waited patiently as I knew that sooner or later he was going to fly.
I try my best to keep my posts interesting for you to enjoy, as appreciation of the free beauties in nature means a lot to me.
Often there are also lessons in our lives to be learned from nature and in other instances many similarities to our own lives.
Such as the mom peacock teaching her children how to score food at a restaurant.
Only difference is that we have to pay for the food, but it's the teaching factor that is identical as all children need to be taught. Some are slower to learn than others for various reasons, but eventually we all find our own ways in life.
It all stems from the early childhood years.

Look who came to show us their babies an hour ago. Harry and Sally.
Only six, so it seems that they have lost half of them already. No wonder that we have been seeing two Harrier hawks around here lately.

Thank you Hannes and we can only try to help them when they are here. Now we are waiting with baited breath, as last year they reappeared here soon after the parade and all of the babies were gone.
Let's hope that it doesn't happen now again 🙏

One of my favourite scenes to paint (way back when I had time for oils and canvas) was a sunset. But mostly wildlife; elephant, buffalo, leopard in a tree, giraffe family but never a bird in flight.....
