But first I want to show you two macro's of another beauty.
The metallic bronze colors of this tiny "Geranium Bronze" butterfly were too beautiful not to show you.
So I will call the first two photos an interlude and then continue with some birds that you might like.
Let's have a look.Yes, we are into birds at #featheredfriends, but my eyes are also not closed to other beauties.
The Geranium Bronze specie name is (Cacyreus marshalli) and this particular specie is known as "Dickson's Geranium Bronze (C.dicksoni)
Right, now for the birds and this was a Hadeda Ibis landing at a water feature.
Here was the landing of the mate. Hadeda Ibis (Bostrychia hagedash"
This female Cape Weaver was inspecting her lucky find.
Oh yes, it tasted very good. Funny that they name this bird's song as a "hysterical call". Cape Weaver (Ploceus capensis)
One of my new favorites, the "White backed Mousebird" (Colius colius) having a go at a flower of a Bottle brush tree.
Finally see if you can identify the 4 species of birds in this photo below. This photo was taken in our garden.
Let me help you. At the back is a "Speckled Pigeon" (Columba guinea), then below him is a "Laughing dove" (Spilopelia senegalensis). In the middle is a little "Cape Sparrow" (Passer melanurus) and at the right are 5 "Cape turtle, ring-necked" doves.
And so I hope that you have enjoyed this post as I put some work into it to identify all of the bird species for you.
On occasions many other species also fly into the garden to grab a piece of the special bread that we feed them, but they are grabbers and flyers (hit and run artists), as they don't stay.
And That's All Friends!

The "Geranium Bronze" specie information was gained from our book called "Gardening for Butterflies"

Cape Weaver are looks a little house sparrows. You have done a lot of beautiful bird photography. Looking at one of the last photographs, it looks like a bird fair. Butterfly photography has also been great.
Thank you sincerely @hive-106444
So that last photo i can see a single sparrow, the rest being doves, except for the other one, looks to be some kind of pigeon.
There also seem to be a much smaller dove, perhaps a young one who just started getting a more adult plummage
Thank you and yes you have seen them all. The smaller dove is also an adult of a different specie.

Smallish butterfly with dazzling colour, endemic to our country, apparently a pest in parts of Europe when introduced overseas, perhaps best is to keep them where they belong.
Birds all beautiful and extremely busy at the moment, garden life is like a highway with movement, many lesser-striped swallows at the beach this morning.
My luck..., a yellow-billed kite landed twenty foot from where I stood, unable to snap away as usual taking my late brothers little dog on a beach walk with Woody this morning.
Have a great weekend.
!LUV to Cape family.

@joanstewart
Oh yes, I saw that they were regarded as pests in other parts of the world and it is certainly a folly to introduce any specie of insect, bird or animal out of their endemic countries.
Oak trees were brought here, then squirrels to eat the fruits of the oaks and now we have Borer Beetles from South America that are killing off the oak trees. Doesn't make any sense.
Oh yes, early summer is the time to feed the youngsters and to teach them how to feed on their own.
A Swallow means rain and you must he happy to see them.
Hahaha, I call these mishaps as meaning "for your eyes only" and it is always a dreaded feeling.
!LUV also to you guys.

@papilloncharity
Some get across on logs floating across or ships, when purposely introduced, stupidity we now have many that should not be here in all species.
Slowly noticing different life appearing since growing indigenous only it really has helped.
Life is good if we look to the positive, hang in with a smile and take one day at a time.

Yes, the natural transport sequence one can understand, but like you said deliberately introduced is sheer stupidity. The infestations have vastly increased as of late and one can only wonder if the weather has something to do with it.
Once were are 90% back to indigenous, the landscapes will show a real difference.
Positivity is real medicine for one's mind and soul Lady Joan.

I love the first butterfly most, it shines even golden - lovely 😍
It's always so nice to see you feeding the many kinds of birds which visit you in your garden. Wishing you a wonderful Sunday, Zac 🌞

When I first saw the golden colors on that little butterfly I thought that it was some kind of trick Hannes.
Then I hurriedly switched to "macro" and hoped that I would not scare him as I moved closer, praying all of the time that he will not suddenly take off. Bang! I got two shots of him and that was enough for me 🙏
Thank you and those are only some of the birds my friend. 20 of those doves can pitch up at any time depending on how hungry they are 🤣
!Cheers and thanks.
You're always so lucky, my friend, but of course I know that your eyes are much, much better trained for the insects and birds 😀
20 doves at once? That's like here where they search for food too, of course, but foremost they seem to use our cars as toilet 🤣
!PIZZA and !BEER - sounds like a nice dinner :)

Just luck my friend but thank you for the compliment 😘
Hahaha, Harry and Sally did the same before I replaced the car port roof. The wet green poop splatted all over the car's roof and ran down the windows.
It was like they have baptized the car 🤣
Now the car is very happy as nothing poops on it's roof anymore 🤣
Cheers and thanks.
I am very sorry but I think I have no more !LOLZ left although I would have needed one now because I have just imagined your car with all this poop running down 🤣
!PIZZA and !BEER - sounds like a nice dinner :)

Hahaha, I am also prepared to take a gamble with !LOLS as you would have laughed yourself silly if you saw the car with all of that green stinky stuff on it.
The geese don't poop, they splat 🤣🤣🤣
Cheers and thanks.
Oh, I believe you, I can see it when I close my eyes - green slime is running all over the car 😂 !LOLZ
!PIZZA and !BEER - sounds like a nice dinner :)
