We call him the singer.

The smallest of the sunbirds here in Africa, but the ultimate singer.

A wonderful tinkling sound early morning before sunrise.

This guy sings praises for the new day with his whole heart and he sat here on an Acacia thorn tree across the road from our place. Yes, I am out very early in the morning with my camera and with my soul also singing praises for the fact that I opened my eyes to see yet another new day.
They say that we might see snow on the mountain peaks this morning, so I will be off to go and have a look see.
Come and have a look at the little sunbirds in here.

The sun has risen and he is the Southern Double-collared sunbird (Cinnyris chalybeus)

Note that he is not singing to attract a female, as he is married and you will also see his wife.

Now for his smaller and dainty wife.

A tiny lady posing proudly on a small succulent plant leaf.

Shame yes, it is cold and how cute is she here right near my window?

Finally, just a last photo of our little singer.

They are sassy little birds with much pluck, as they don't allow the bigger birds to push them around. Three enemies worry me though as we have a family of Fiscal birds here that steal the sunbird babies, then I also saw some stray cats around and of course mankind is also all over the place.
The other thing that bothers me is that we totally forgot about the dwarf chameleons at our old place and I can only pray and hope that nobody will discover their nesting bush, as they are high in demand on the black market.

Our Rhino's are already being killed as their horns are also in high demand on the black market and many other animals over here are becoming endangered and close to extinction due to the illicit wildlife trade.
Why kill a beautiful animal only for it's horn?
In the false belief in some countries that the "medicine" from a Rhino horn will enhance their sex abilities?
I say catch the buyers and castrate them. See how they would feel if their "horns" would be cut off.

I moan too much and hope that you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Oh he certainly has a magnificent voice! Our blossoming apricot trees are very busy with these little singers

Glad that you can also hear them my friend and yes, they are the most wonderful little birds.

Blessings and !PIZZA

No other bird sing like this early in the morning its like a sweet noise

Yes, they have lovely sounds.

Such a lovely couple :) ... Is there any way to make sure nobody finds the chameleons? Maybe the landlord would fence that area in?

Thank you :)
The area is already fenced in, as it is a complex, meaning that it has many cottages and it has a boomed automatic gate at the entrance. Only the gardener knows about the bush and I told him to keep an eye on it.

Thank you sincerely for the curation.
