Here is a quick edit, in Darktable, of an owl (identifying is not going as planed, so any help is appreciated) in a snowing winter time.
Here is my final edit in a 16:9 crop.
Full size is 2160x3840px if you like it feel free to use it!
Here is the screen - referred workflow in Darktable:
Base image with default modules applied, a bit under exposed but it is what it is...
+2 stops of exposure applied, little bit flat...
Filmic module auto settings applied, time for local edits...
Applied local contrast by masking, only on a bird...
Eyes + 0.3 exposure with big feathered mask...
Color balance module, amplify saturation and brilliance to my taste
Profiled denoise, lens corrections, and sharpen applied...
Cropped and there it is.
It seems that ecency and peakd are auto resizing images, or i don`t know how to use them...
So if you would like image in full resolution open post with hive blog and right click open image in new window and after that save as...
I am afraid I can't identify the owl, but it is a cool image in the snow.
Cool pic 👍
