Show Me A Photo Contest Round 161 - Turkey

Hi friends, this is actually my first time in a #smap contest and I am grateful to @nelinoeva for this opportunity.

I will be sharing pictures of Turkey I captured during my visit at my aunt's place. My mom's sister. I and my siblings stayed with her and her family during our regional conversation period.

She rare turkey for both food and money. And she doesn't discriminate between native and English (or broilers). I was interested as they breed, their feeding habits, how they protect themselves and distinguish between the domestic fowl.

The female turkey is the one that looks smaller in size from the male. That is the one on the right in the first picture and on the left in the second picture.

One amazing thing about Turkey is how they behave. The matured male are aggressive and can actually clock almost like a dog from a distance as you approach. The large males must love privacy with the females that they chase off the chicks or smaller birds.

The males are handsome with their colourful long feathers. You need to see how they play during mating period with the females. The female is cool as a hen she is 😁 but not with her eggs.

Thanks for going through.
Pictures are all mine
