show me a photo (of a bird) - sparrows
This post goes for 'Show me a photo (of a bird)' contest, round #211. I present fresh photos I took on the weekend, when I had a 6-hours walk across the historical center of the city.
I found myself (again) near the Summer Garden and Mikhailovsky palace, where I encountered the first starlings of the spring. A friendly family of sparrows, a pair of starlings and the usual pigeons took their places on the tree with a feeder (the feeder is located on the opposite side and is not visible). The scene was touching! and I was attracted by the beautiful light. I took several photos, but unfortunately I had a wide-angle lens, so you will not see any close-ups - only an "exterior portrait". I did not risk getting too close. On the contrary - I took a few steps back to change lenses, and when I returned to this tree back - the starlings did not wait for me and flew away ... Too bad.

But I did not get upset for long, and went for a walk further, armed with a telephoto lens, and took many other pleasant photos. There is a fabulous monument to a Siskin located near this spot, I have already photographed it many times, but did not deny myself the pleasure of spending 15 minutes next to it again. Interesting stories come to those who wait... but these are rather not the stories that are from the birding photography field :))))

Представляю свежие фотографии, сделанные мной на выходных, когда я совершил 6-часовую прогулку по историческому центру города. В середине дня я оказался около Летнего сада и Михайловского дворца, где мне встретились первые весенние скворцы. Дружная шайка воробьев, пара скворцов и всегдашние голуби плотно обсидели дереве с кормушкой (кормушка расположена с противоположной стороны и на фото ее не видно). То как воробьи и скворцы перелетали с ветки на ветку, сдвигаясь в невидимой очереди к кормушке... сцена была весьма умилительной! и меня привлек прекрасный свет. Я сделал несколько фотографий, но к сожалению у меня был навинчен широкоугольный объектив, поэтому никаких близких планов вы не увидите - только "портрет в экстерьере". Я не рискнул подойти слишком близко. Напротив - я сделал несколько шагов назад, чтобы сменить ширик на телевик, а когда вернулся к дереву обратно - скворцы меня не дождались и улетели... Жаль.
Но я не долго расстраивался, и отправился гулять дальше, вооруженный уже телефото-объективом, и сделал много других приятных фотографий. Рядом с этим местом находится "памятник Чижику", я уже фотографировал его много раз, но не отказал себе в удовольствии снова провести рядом с ним 15 минут. Интересные сюжеты сами приходят к тому, кто ждет... но это уже сюжеты не из области птичьей фотографии :))))
Great shot, I love the nature images, by the way I put the three tunes, but I am not sure if it is a contest, or only a share your opinion, well it was put in.
