Birds In The Grass
A gathering of geese on the brown grass after the winter.
A lone goose heads for the water.
I saw a couple Canada Geese in the grass by the side of the road. By the time I got the car parked and my cell phone out they had wandered down to the water. They look like two specks from my distance without being photographed by my camera with a lense.
Although the deciduous trees aren’t full of foliage or the grass turned green yet, I thought the bay the geese frequent looked nice with the reflections in the water.
I took these photos of this flock of geese during the summer. They crossed the green grass , then the road to a pond.

I had a friend who owned geese, they would chase me from my car to her house, and they hurt when they catch me.
Haha. I can see you running and the geese chasing you. I know they can be aggressive but have never witnessed it.
These were all white, maybe they are meaner. When they chase you, they stick their necks out straight and make a weird sound while running after you. I always thought that they were saying, you better run because if you don't I am going to bite your ass. Yes, I ran as fast as I could.
They were like fierce watchdogs. 😆 I’ve seen these geese make a gesturing move towards people but never to actually bite them but I’m sure they could. Mainly they are afraid if I get too close to them. They are very protective if young are around.
These geese aren't stupid, they know how to cross the road. 😀

Yes it takes awhile to be organized when an unexpected scene comes our way. These geese move quickly out of the way when they see a human. ♥️
If only they sat around like our cats and dogs

The geese are interesting. They like to stay together. I often see them flying in a V formation.
Wild geese are truly exotic and migration is their way.

Thanks for the visit. They are amazing birds and seem to know how to survive.
I have seen them flying south or north, depending on the season, but I don't think I have ever seen a wild goose on the ground, and especially none crossing the road 😁
