What’s more pleasant to the ear than the sweet song of the early birds, the robins, in the morning?
This Robin is singing his heart out on top of a pile of firewood in the yard. He has just returned here from his winter in the South.
Sticking his chest out, it looks like the robin is looking for applause as he stops to take a break between singing. :))
Robins are territorial and although their song may sound mellow to us it is also a warning for other robins to keep off their ground.
The American robin is a migratory songbird of the true thrush genus and Turdidae, the wider thrush family. It is named after the European robin because of its reddish-orange breast, though the two species are not closely related, with the European robin belonging to the Old World flycatcher family. Feathered Friends is always fun. I haven't seen a Robin in a long time. They are mostly found in North America and plenty in my hometown. I remember they wake up pretty early. Enjoy Spring there^^
Thanks for stopping for a visit @mineopoly. I always figure Spring is here when I see the robins back, singing in the early morning and patrolling the lawn for worms.

Yes robins are beautiful birds and so self sufficient. They spend all day searching the lawn for worms.
