Cerca de mi casa el arroyo seco
cubierto de peces parece un espejo
que invita a las garzas a ver su reflejo...
Con las lluvias recientes, el arroyo seco que esta cerca de mi casa acumuló algunos pequeños charcos que rápidamente atrajeron algunas aves, como garzas, gorriones, cardenales, pájaros carpinteros y otros muchas especies mas que no alcanzo a catalogar.
Lo que mas me llamó la atención fueron las garzas por su tamaño y belleza, cuando llegué ya solo había una que parecía muy feliz de estar en el agua. Al principio pensé que solo estaba refrescándose pero en cuanto me acerqué me di cuenta de que estaba comiendo unos pequeños peces.
Al caminar un poco mas adelante de donde la garza comía me encontré con un pequeño charco de apenas unos treinta centímetro de profundidad con una gran cantidad de peces. Aunque en realidad estos charcos son imperfecciones en el arroyo pavimentado, albergan vida al menos por un tiempo atrayendo a estas hermosas aves.
With the recent rain, the dry stream that is near my house accumulated some small puddles that quickly attracted some birds, such as herons, sparrows, cardinals, woodpeckers and many other species that I cannot catalog.
What most caught my attention were the herons because of their size and beauty, when I arrived there was only one that seemed very happy to be in the water. At first I thought he was just cooling off but as I got closer I realized she was eating some small fish.
When walking a little further from where the heron was eating, I came across a small puddle barely thirty centimeters deep with a large quantity of fish. Although these puddles are actually imperfections in the paved stream, they harbor life at least for a time attracting these beautiful birds.
