Around 15 years ago I raised a goldfinch baby that fell out of the nest that I thought was a sparrow. Once it started growing yellow feathers I realized it was a goldfinch. I looked up the local rehab place and they helped release it into the wild again after letting it hang out in their outdoor aviary with other birds.
