Hi guys, this time I want to post the richest bird, namely the Dollar bird, which is known as a bird species from the Coraciidae family. This bird has the characteristic of bright blue feathers with black wings, a large bright orange beak, and a striking appearance when flying. The Dollar bird is widespread in South Asia to Southeast Asia, including Indonesia.
This bird can usually be found in open areas such as forest edges, plantations, and even areas near settlements that still have tree cover. They are spread from India, China, Southeast Asia, to several islands in Indonesia, including Sumatra, Kalimantan, Java, and Sulawesi. In Indonesia, the Dollar bird is often found in lowland forests to medium altitudes.
The hunting behavior of the Dollar bird is quite active, where they are often seen perched on tall trees and quickly snatching prey in the form of insects, such as beetles, grasshoppers, and dragonflies, as well as other small animals. This bird is a visual hunter who relies on its sharp eyesight to detect the movement of prey around it.
