Believe it or not, the other day when I visited the Egg Lady who lives up the street, I could tell that there was something serious going on in the chicken coupe. Could it be that the fox was back prowling around?
I scanned the area and didn't see the critter that had wreaked havoc just a few weeks ago. The darn fox had dug its way under the chicken wire and beheaded a number of chickens just for the fun of it.
There was carnage throughout the pen, without a single chicken being eaten.
After observing the nervous chicken's behavior for a while
and listening in on their conversation I realized the reason for all of the commotion. From this point on I will let the chickens tell the story in their own words.
So you have never heard chickens talk.
Next time you visit your Egg Lady, you need to just listen a little closer
and you may hear them communicating with each other.

But joke aside, this is really bad about the chickens killed by the fox.

The chickens getting killed by the fox is the only real part of this story. Last year a fox made its way into the coup and beheaded 11 chickens just for fun. Not one of the chickens was eaten just beheaded. Being that the Egg Lady lives up the road just a piece and is Robin's cousin, we share what is happening with each other. This news was sad.

The only truth to this post is the part of a fox getting into the coup and randomly killing chickens. When the egg lady, who is actually @farm-mom's cousin, went to collect eggs one morning 11 chickens had been killed. The fox never ate a darn one, just killed them for fun. Go figure.
ooh that's a drama ! It happened to a friend too, I was telling him "oh gosh these geese think they are the Police, they are making such a charivari when someone is approching..!" and he answered me "well I would have hoped indeed, last night a fox came and killed all the chickens, and we didn't even hear a goose flinch 😒"
When you don't want them to make a racket they do and when you do they don't, go figure.
