Carpet python annoying the birds.

So, yesterday while I was in my shed printing shirts I could hear this loud racket of screeching.
Naturally I went outside for an inspection to see what all the commotion was about.

At first it was the noisy minor birds all flying around screeching. Then I saw the local backyard magpie jumping up and down on the fence squawking. But next thing I noticed was something moving along the ground..

It was a Carpet python!.. Probably looking for a feed which has pissed off all the local birds.

The funny thing is the noisy minor birds normally gang up on any other birds that enters the back yard. But they must have called a truce and joined forces to battle a coman enemy.

The squad consisted of noisy minors, magpies, butcher birds and even a blue faced honey eater showed up to try and move the snake along.

The snake slowly made his was along the fence then eventually up the tree. Which made the birds even more pissed off.

As the snake climbed higher into the tree the magpie started to fly up and bite the snakes tail.

Which moved him along with the quickness.

But the higher he went the more camoflauge he had.

And eventually made an escape from the birds and found a nice spot to rest up until night fall.

Birds are really smart when it comes to protecting their space from intruders, they can even team up to chase away a snake.
Thank you very much dear friend @vcclothing for sharing this experience

These birds all teamed up to protect their space that's for sure haha

The birds were really so smart, they didn't want an enemy in their camp. It's so brave of them to gang up and send the enemy well on its way... 🐍

It was great to see them team up and move the snake along

Nature at it's best, protection standing together, or slithering through trying to camouflage itself. Incredible story in photography today!

@tipu curate

I was surprised the birds teamed up to try and move the snake along. I just hope the snake doesn't try and make it into my house !LOL

What do you call a hippo who says something and does the complete opposite?

PLAY & EARN $DOOM

Definitely not welcome indoors although they normally avoid people where possible.

Hold up for a bit, you weren’t scared? Or does the python belong to you?

It's a wild snake they are pretty common here in Australia to find them in your back yead. This one isn't poisonous thankfully. So he is no threat to me but he is a threat to the local birds nests.

Power of the crowd! Beautiful python, btw!

It was really cool to see the birds all team up. And yes very beautiful python !LUV
