Hace un par de semanas mientras navegaba por el extenso catálogo de Xbox Game Pass, decidí darle una oportunidad a un juego que siempre había pasado desapercibido para mí. Stellaris, desarrollado y publicado por Paradox Interactive, este título de gran estrategia me llamó la atención de inmediato. Como amante de la estrategia y la gestión, sabía que debía explorar lo que este juego tenía para ofrecer. Después de todo, Paradox es responsable de maravillas como Crusader Kings 3, Victoria 2 y Hearts of Iron 4, así que tenía expectativas bastante altas.
Stellaris es un juego que gira en torno a la exploración del espacio y la gestión de un imperio intergaláctico. Desde el principio te sumerges en la creación de tu propia civilización, eligiendo su origen, características y estilo de juego. La libertad para personalizar tu imperio es asombrosa, lo que le da un toque único a cada partida. En este juego, no solo se trata de conquistar planetas, sino también de establecer relaciones diplomáticas, comerciar y en ocasiones, entrar en conflicto con otras especies. A couple of weeks ago while browsing through the extensive Xbox Game Pass catalog, I decided to give a chance to a game that had always gone unnoticed by me. Stellaris, developed and published by Paradox Interactive, this grand strategy title immediately caught my attention. As a lover of strategy and management, I knew I had to explore what this game had to offer. After all, Paradox is responsible for such wonders as Crusader Kings 3, Victoria 2 and Hearts of Iron 4, so I had pretty high expectations.
Stellaris is a game that revolves around space exploration and managing an intergalactic empire. Right from the start you immerse yourself in creating your own civilization, choosing its origin, characteristics and play style. The freedom to customize your empire is amazing, which gives a unique touch to each game. In this game, it is not only about conquering planets, but also about establishing diplomatic relations, trading and sometimes entering into conflict with other species. The variety of strategies that can be adopted is simply fascinating.

La primera vez que inicié Stellaris, debo admitir que me sentí un poco abrumado. La interfaz está llena de opciones y menús, al principio no sabía por dónde empezar. Pero, a medida que avanzaba, las mecánicas comenzaron a hacerse más claras y entendibles. La curva de aprendizaje puede ser empinada, pero es parte del atractivo. Cada decisión que tomas, ya sea en la exploración de nuevas estrellas o en la gestión de tus recursos, tiene un impacto significativo en tu imperio. Esto me mantuvo enganchado, deseando descubrir qué nuevo desafío me esperaba a la vuelta de la esquina.
Uno de los aspectos que más me gustó de Stellaris es la exploración del espacio. Cada sistema estelar es un nuevo misterio por descubrir. Desde la búsqueda de recursos raros hasta el contactado con civilizaciones desconocidas, cada partida se siente única. Las narrativas emergentes que se desarrollan a partir de las decisiones que tomas son para mí, una de las mejores partes del juego. La sensación de ser un explorador intergaláctico, navegando entre estrellas y planetas, es realmente emocionante.

The first time I started Stellaris, I must admit that I felt a bit overwhelmed. The interface is full of options and menus, at first I didn't know where to start. But, as I progressed, the mechanics started to become clearer and more understandable. The learning curve can be steep, but that's part of the appeal. Every decision you make, whether it's exploring new stars or managing your resources, has a significant impact on your empire. This kept me hooked, eager to discover what new challenge awaited me around the corner.
One of the aspects I enjoyed most about Stellaris is the exploration of space. Each star system is a new mystery to discover. From searching for rare resources to making contact with unknown civilizations, each game feels unique. The emergent narratives that develop from the decisions you make are for me, one of the best parts of the game. The feeling of being an intergalactic explorer, navigating between stars and planets, is really exciting.

Sin embargo, no todo es paz y exploración. La guerra y los conflictos con otras civilizaciones son parte integral de la experiencia. Stellaris permite a los jugadores participar en batallas épicas con flotas espaciales y las decisiones tácticas en estas confrontaciones pueden determinar el destino de tu imperio. Aprender a gestionar la diplomacia y la guerra simultáneamente es un desafío que me mantuvo en vilo durante horas. La tensión de una guerra intergaláctica, donde cada movimiento cuenta, es algo que me atrapó por completo.
Mi experiencia con Stellaris ha sido increíblemente positiva. Aunque al principio el juego puede parecer complicado, el tiempo que dediques a aprender sus mecánicas vale la pena. La combinación de exploración, gestión y conflictos intergalácticos me ha brindado horas de diversión y satisfacción. Paradox Interactive ha creado un título que, sin duda, se ha ganado un lugar en mi corazón como un gran juego de estrategia. Si eres un amante del género, definitivamente te recomiendo que le des una oportunidad. Te prometo que no te arrepentirás.

However, it is not all peace and exploration. War and conflicts with other civilizations are an integral part of the experience. Stellaris allows players to engage in epic battles with space fleets and tactical decisions in these confrontations can determine the fate of your empire. Learning to manage diplomacy and warfare simultaneously is a challenge that kept me on my toes for hours. The tension of an intergalactic war, where every move counts, is something that completely gripped me.
My experience with Stellaris has been incredibly positive. Although the game may seem complicated at first, the time you spend learning its mechanics is well worth it. The combination of exploration, management and intergalactic conflict has provided me with hours of fun and satisfaction. Paradox Interactive has created a title that has undoubtedly earned a place in my heart as a great strategy game. If you are a lover of the genre, I definitely recommend you give it a chance. I promise you won't regret it.

Este juego me recuerda mucho a los primeros de estrategia que se lanzaron en la pc, y si a eso le añadimos una interfaz super moderna, un modo de juego genial, gráficos muy buenos y una temática espacial, sin duda resultará enviciante para un gamer que ame este género.
