Hola amigos de Hive, los juegos ambientados en la prehistoria siempre me han gustado mucho, creo que desde niño, como la mayoría tuve cierta pasión por los dinosaurios, no hay nada más emocionante para un niño que saber acerca de estos seres similares a dragones que una vez pisaron la tierra. De manera que los videojuegos con dinosaurios siempre me han gustado, ejemplo de ellos The Lost World, Dino Crisis, y Jurassic Warpath para Play Station, son algunos de ellos. Pues bien ,me he encontrado con este juego sobre la prehistoria llamado Caveman Chuck, el cual decidí probar.
El Juego
En Caveman Chuck tomamos el control de un cavernícola cuya esposa ha sido raptada por pterodáctilo, este cavernícola al principio parece no darle importancia pues se muestra en ocasionas violentado por su esposa, pero luego recuerda las cosas buenas que ella hace por él y decide ir en su rescate.
Empezamos nuestra aventura por distintos escenarios divididos cada uno en 3 niveles, en ellos nos encontraremos animales y plantas a vencer, como Spinosaurios, Velociraptores, plantas carnívoras, tigres dientes de sable, insectos, tendremos que eliminarlos usando nuestro garrote y piedras que lanzamos, como con una honda. Además tendremos que superar los niveles tratando de no caer al vacio, pues encontraremos multiples plataformas entre las cuales saltar con precisión para avanzar.
Al final de cada escenario, es decir en el 3er nivel lucharemos contra un Boss, cuya dificultad sube gradualmente a medida que avanzamos, primero nos enfrentamos a un lento dinosaurio fácil de vencer, luego a un veloz elefante, y luego con un agresivo murciélago el cual aún no consigo derrotar.
Controles
Los controles del juego están bien, sin embargo, en algunos momentos fallan de manera extraña, que no nos permite movernos con precisión, pero debo decir que son sencillos, y la mayoría del tiempo responden bien. Podremos desplazarnos lateralmente, saltar hacia arriba o descender peldaños hacia abajo y atacar.
Gráficos y Sonido
Los gráficos son divertidos, los diseños de los dinosaurios , son algo caricaturescos, cabezas desproporcionadas, otros son más proporcionados. Me parece que los mundos están bien diseñados, tienen suficientes detalles para hacernos sentir en un mundo prehistórico.
Por otro lado la música y los efectos de sonido , son el fuerte de este juego, la música ambiente muy bien la aventura y los efectos de sonido aunque sencillos se acoplan, muy bien, como el sonido del garrote, o el sonido que el cavernícola hace cuando es lastimado o morimos, los bosses hacen sonidos muy característicos, creo que en este aspecto el juego esta muy bien logrado.
Opinión
Este juego lo he disfrutado, me ha gustado mucho que tenga una historia, que tengan diversidad de animales como adversarios, contemplando distintas eras, el he hecho de que tengan bosses con un nivel de dificultad que se incremente gradualmente de manera acertada me parece muy bueno, pues el elefante, me costó bastante vencerlo, pero siempre me sentí motivado para derrotarlo, puesto que nos pone a pensar en estrategias para ello.
El juego se puede definir como un plataformero, y tal vez los controles podrían mejorarse un poco , considerando que hay que tener muy buena precisión para avanzar en este tipo de juegos, pero los controles son decentes y realmente funciona.
La ambientación también me ha gustado, me he sentido muy a gusto con todos los aspectos del juego, y creo que puede ofrecer un buen rato de entretenimiento a cualquier jugador, este juego lo puedo calificar con un 7.5

Hello friends of Hive, games set in prehistory have always liked me a lot, I think that since I was a child, like most of us I had a passion for dinosaurs, there is nothing more exciting for a child than knowing about these dragon-like beings that once walked the earth. So video games with dinosaurs have always liked me, example of them The Lost World, Dino Crisis, and Jurassic Warpath for Play Station, are some of them. Well, I have come across this game about prehistory called Caveman Chuck, which I decided to try.
The Game
In Caveman Chuck we take control of a caveman whose wife has been kidnapped by pterodactyl, this caveman at first seems not to give importance because it is shown occasionally violated by his wife, but then remember the good things she does for him and decides to go to his rescue.
We start our adventure through different scenarios each divided into 3 levels, in them we will find animals and plants to defeat, such as Spinosaurs, Velociraptors, carnivorous plants, saber-toothed tigers, insects, we will have to eliminate them using our club and stones that we throw, as with a slingshot. In addition we will have to overcome the levels trying not to fall into the void, because we will find multiple platforms between which to jump with precision to advance.
At the end of each stage, that is to say in the 3rd level we will fight against a Boss, whose difficulty rises gradually as we advance, first we face a slow dinosaur easy to beat, then a fast elephant, and then with an aggressive bat which I still can not defeat.
Controls
The game controls are fine, however, in some moments they fail in a strange way, which does not allow us to move accurately, but I must say that they are simple, and most of the time they respond well. We will be able to move laterally, jump up or descend steps down and attack.
Graphics and Sound
The graphics are fun, the designs of the dinosaurs, are somewhat cartoonish, disproportionate heads, others are more proportionate. It seems to me that the worlds are well designed, they have enough details to make us feel in a prehistoric world.
On the other hand, the music and sound effects are the strong point of this game, the music is a very good atmosphere for the adventure and the sound effects, although simple, are very good, like the sound of the club, or the sound that the caveman makes when he is hurt or we die, the bosses make very characteristic sounds, I think that in this aspect the game is very well done.
Opinion
I enjoyed this game, I really liked that it has a story, that it has a diversity of animals as opponents, contemplating different eras, the fact that it has bosses with a level of difficulty that gradually increases in a successful way seems very good to me, because the elephant, it cost me a lot to beat him, but I always felt motivated to defeat him, since it makes us think about strategies for it.
The game can be defined as a platformer, and perhaps the controls could be improved a little, considering that you have to have very good precision to advance in this type of game, but the controls are decent and it really works.
The setting I also liked, I felt very comfortable with all aspects of the game, and I think it can offer a good time of entertainment to any player, I can rate this game with a 7.5.

Saludos amigo, ese juego se ve muy interesante y sobre todo la temática que se desarrolla de esa época de los cavernícolas, además como poco a poco tienes que ir avenado y eliminado a todo lo que se atraviese por el camino. Este juego se ve me hizo muy parecido a la película Los Croods por el año. Excelente cada uno de los niveles y desafíos que tienes que pasar y de esa manera estar trabajando. Mi pana el videojuego está super divertido. Tienes mucha razón, la historia del juego es de suma importancia. Además, no da en algunas ocasiones algunos tips que nos ayudará con el proceso del videojuego. No sé, pero me recuerda un poco a Adventure Island 😁
