El pasado 17 de octubre se celebró en la ciudad de Bogotá el 7mo aniversario de Trust Wallet, una billetera de criptomonedas descentralizada compatible con más de 10 millones de activos en más de 100 blockchains, incluida Bitcoin, donde asistieron más de 50 personas al Hotel Coco.
Nosotros llegamos a eso de las 6:30 pm y ya el ambiente estaba cargado de buena energía por esta celebración. La celebración tuvo lugar en un 6to piso que tenía una vista bellísima a una parte de la ciudad. Y allí transcurrió la celebración, entre networking, saludar a viejos amigos y conocer un poco más sobre Trust Wallet.
Tengo que decir que me sorprendió la gran cantidad de personas que hacen vida dentro del ecosistema crypto en Colombia y por lo que pude ver son muy unidos. Antes de terminar la celebración recibí un regalo por parte de los organizadores: Una franela con el logo de la wallet.
Los inicios de esta wallet descentralizada
Recordemos que Trust Wallet nació de la visión de su fundador, Viktor Radchenko, quien buscaba una solución simple y segura para almacenar y gestionar sus criptomonedas. En un momento en el que el ecosistema criptográfico aún estaba en sus primeras etapas y las opciones de almacenamiento eran limitadas, Radchenko decidió desarrollar su propia billetera.
Y no fue hasta el 2017, cuando Trust Wallet fue lanzada como un proyecto open-source con el objetivo de ofrecer a los usuarios una alternativa confiable y fácil de usar. La billetera se destacó por su interfaz intuitiva y su compatibilidad con una amplia variedad de criptomonedas. Rápidamente, ganó popularidad entre la comunidad cripto, gracias a su enfoque en la seguridad y la privacidad del usuario.
