I think one of the main aspects that can engage and entertain in any video game is the fact of completing missions or unlock new features or options in the adventure, Kingdom Two Crowns is a title that is currently available to play for a limited time and although I'm not usually a fan of this type of offer, the truth is very simple but entertaining and manages to get your attention to be unlocking new things at every moment, it is a strategy game where we must take our new kingdom and make it emerge from scratch.
The gameplay of Kingdom Two Crowns is very simple and easy to understand, we control our king or queen who goes on horseback in a flat world in Side Scroll, it reminded me a little of the aesthetics of Terraria, with the arrows we can move from one side to the other, we can run briefly until our horse gets tired and must rest, and with the arrows we can drop coins or spend them on the different improvements and actions of the adventure.
At first everything is simple, we get to a small bonfire where we found our kingdom, with the coins we can hire beggars that appear in the camps improvised by the map, once hired these will take some trade where we have paid the cost of the tool that transforms them, we can get builders, archers and farmers, as we level up our base we can unlock new options such as building crops and get farmers.

Each inhabitant of our kingdom will have a very important role, the builders will be those who help us to expand the kingdom and go clearing the field of trees to unlock the points where you can build watchtowers, walls and more. The archers have two functions, when they get a watchtower alone they took it to have now more firing range and attack more accurately, on the other hand during the day they go out to walk around our kingdom and hunt animals, with that they get gold which they give us to pass near them, with gold everything is unlocked, finally the farmers will be the best unit to generate gold although they are already achieved with several improvements to our central building.
Although the map is somewhat extensive at the end of each side we can find portals to a strange dimension where strange creatures that attack every night, they can take away the tools to our inhabitants making them lose their profession and kill them, although if we release gold coins we can distract them, Their goal will be to hit our characters several times to knock down the crown and in case they steal it, the game will end, although in case of passing this will not be a total Game Over, in our next game several buildings and almost all the villagers will remain in the place but being vagabonds that we will have to hire again.
Exploring the entire map and unlocking all the coin items can be achieved relatively quickly, but the game has a mechanic that allows us to make a certain restart, by building a ship we can embark to other islands along with some soldiers, when we get to the island we will have to start from scratch, with hardly any gold and without a city built, But in the new islands we can get chests with crystals that allow us to unlock new mechanics in addition to having a higher difficulty to the previous island, in the same way the ship where we arrived is destroyed so to return to the previous islands we must return to progress in the new island and re-create a ship to sail.
This mechanic of restarting your kingdom on a new island in search of better treasures seemed very appealing to me, besides recreating the excitement of building and unlocking all the construction points of the island, we can get NPCs in the buildings that ask for crystals to unlock and these help us to improve other constructions on the previous islands where they are needed. It is interesting to have to travel between islands expanding your own kingdom in each one to take control and get what you need to further improve the previous islands, a simple but fun game mechanics.

Creo que uno de los principales aspectos que mas pueden enganchar y entretener en todo videojuego es el hecho de completar misiones o desbloquear nuevas funciones o opciones en la aventura, Kingdom Two Crowns se trata de un titulo que actualmente se encuentre disponible para jugarlo por tiempo limitado y aunque no suelo ser fanático de este tipo de ofertas, la verdad resulto muy sencillo pero entretenido y que logra llamar tu atención al estar desbloqueando nuevas cosas en cada momento, se trata de un juego de estrategia en donde debemos llevar nuestro nuevo reino y hacerlo surgir desde cero.
La jugabilidad de Kingdom Two Crowns es muy sencilla y fácil de entender, contralamos a nuestro rey o reina quien va a caballo en un mundo plano en Scroll Lateral, me recordó un poco a la estética de Terraria, con las flechas podemos movernos de un lado al otro, podemos correr brevemente hasta que nuestro caballo se cansa y debe descansar, y con las flechas podemos soltar monedas o gastarlas en las diferentes mejoras y acciones de la aventura.
En un principio todo es sencillo, llegamos hasta un pequeña hoguera en donde fundamos nuestro reino, con las monedas podemos contratar mendigos que aparecen en los campamentos improvisados por el mapa, una vez contratados estos tomaran algún oficio en donde hayamos pagado el costo de la herramienta que los transforma, podemos conseguir constructores, arqueros y agricultores, a medida que vamos subiendo de nivel nuestra base podemos ir desbloqueando nuevas opciones como construir cultivos y conseguir los agricultores.

Cada habitante de nuestro reino tendrá un rol muy importante, los constructores serán quienes nos ayuden a expandir el reino e ir limpiando el campo de arboles para con esto desbloquear los puntos donde se pueda construir torres de vigilancia, murallas y más. Los arqueros tienen dos funciones, cuando se consiguen con una torre de vigilancia sola la tomaron para tener ahora mas rango de disparo y atacar de manera mas precisa, por otro lado durante el día salen a recorrer los alrededores de nuestro reino y cazan animales, con eso consiguen oro el cual nos entregan al pasar cerca de ellos, con el oro se desbloquea todo, por ultimo los agricultores serán la mejor unidad para generar oro aunque ya se consiguen con varias mejoras de nuestro edificio central.
Aunque el mapa es algo extenso al final de cada lado podemos encontrar portales a una extraña dimensión de donde salen extrañas criaturas que atacaran todas las noches, pueden quitarle las herramientas a nuestros habitantes haciendo que pierdan su profesión así como matarlos, aunque si soltamos monedas de oro los podemos distraer, su objetivo será golpear a nuestro personajes varias veces para tumbarle la corona y en caso que la roben terminara la partida aunque en caso de pasar esto no será un Game Over total, en nuestra siguiente partida varias edificaciones y casi todos los aldeanos seguirán en el lugar pero siendo vagabundos que deberemos contratar nuevamente.
El explorar todo el mapa y desbloquear todos los objetos de monedas puede conseguirse relativamente rápido, pero el juego tiene una mecánica que permite hacer un cierto reinició, al construir un barco nos podemos embarcar a otros islas junto con algunos soldados, al llegar a la isla deberemos comenzar desde cero, sin apenas oro y sin una ciudad construida, pero en las nuevas islas podemos conseguir cofres con cristales que nos permiten desbloquear mecánicas nuevas además de contar con una mayor dificultad a la isla previa, del mismo modo el barco donde llegamos es destruido por lo cual para regresar a las islas anteriores deberemos volver a progresar en la nueva isla y volver a crear un barco para navegar.
Esta mecánica de volver a comenzar tu reino en una nueva isla en búsqueda de mejores tesoros me pareció muy llamativa además de volver a crear la emoción de construir y desbloquear todos los puntos de construcción de la isla, podemos conseguir NPC en las edificaciones que piden cristales para desbloquear y estos nos ayudan a mejorar otras construcciones en las islas anteriores en donde ellos son necesarios. Se hace interesante tener que viajar entre islas expandiendo tu propio reino en cada una para hacerte con el control y conseguir lo necesario para mejorar aun mas las islas previas, una mecánica de juego sencilla pero divertida.
