Reliving the excitement: My experience playing Resident Evil 4 on Nintendo Switch.
Siendo un fanático de la serie de videojuegos de Resident Evil, he tenido la oportunidad reciente de revivir la experiencia de Resident Evil 4, pero esta vez en la consola Nintendo Switch. Debo admitir que el resultado me ha dejado muy satisfecho. Después de pasar horas luchando contra aldeanos infectados, soldados y criaturas monstruosas, puedo afirmar con seguridad que esta versión de Resident Evil 4 proporciona una experiencia emocionante y desafiante. Como jugador que ha completado el juego varias veces en diferentes plataformas (GameCube, PS2, Wii, PC y versión móvil), puedo confirmar que la versión para Nintendo Switch se mantiene fiel a la original y ofrece una experiencia de juego sólida, como cuando lo jugué por primera vez en la Nintendo GameCube. Además, la versión para Switch cuenta con algunas mejoras gráficas que la hacen aún más atractiva.
Being a fan of the Resident Evil video game series, I recently had the chance to relive the experience of Resident Evil 4, but this time on the Nintendo Switch console. I must admit that the result has left me very satisfied. After spending hours fighting infected villagers, soldiers, and monstrous creatures, I can confidently say that this version of Resident Evil 4 provides an exciting and challenging experience. As a player who has completed the game multiple times on different platforms (GameCube, PS2, Wii, PC, and mobile version), I can confirm that the Switch version stays true to the original and offers a solid gameplay experience, just like when I first played it on the Nintendo GameCube. Additionally, the Switch version has some graphical improvements that make it even more attractive.

Lo jugué de nuevo porque me siento emocionado por el nuevo lanzamiento de Resident Evil 4 para las consolas de última generación. Me permitirá volver a adentrarme en este mundo aterrador y de supervivencia, aunque primero debo conseguir alguna de estas consolas 😂. Ya he invertido muchas horas jugando la versión para Nintendo Switch, y aun así siento una gran curiosidad por conocer las mejoras en gráficos y jugabilidad de este remake. Es fascinante la idea de poder revivir esta aventura y descubrir cualquier cambio o mejora que se haya realizado en ellas. Ya vi algunos gameplays del demo y me parecieron increíbles.
I played it again because I'm excited about the new release of Resident Evil 4 for the latest generation consoles. It will allow me to immerse myself again in this terrifying and survival world, although first I need to get one of these consoles 😂. I have already invested many hours playing the Nintendo Switch version, and yet I feel a great curiosity to know the improvements in graphics and gameplay of this remake. It's fascinating the idea of being able to relive this adventure and discover any changes or improvements that have been made to it. I have already watched some gameplay of the demo and they looked amazing.

Aunque algunos fanáticos pueden argumentar que los juegos de la serie Resident Evil han perdido un poco de su encanto original, personalmente, creo que Resident Evil 4 sigue siendo un juegazo. La combinación de horror de supervivencia y acción hace que sea una buena experiencia, además, el personaje de Leon S. Kennedy sigue siendo uno de los más memorables en la saga.
Although some fans may argue that the Resident Evil series games have lost some of their original charm, personally, I think Resident Evil 4 is still an amazing game. Además, debo mencionar que me sentí decepcionado al ver que no se incluyó la opción de controles por movimiento en la versión de Nintendo Switch. En la versión de Wii, los controles por movimiento eran una maravilla, permitiéndonos apuntar con precisión y hacer ajustes finos con movimientos sutiles de la muñeca. Habría sido fácil agregar esta opción en la versión de Switch, ya que los Joy-Con tienen la capacidad de detectar los movimientos y orientaciones del usuario.
Furthermore, I must mention that I was disappointed to see that the motion controls option was not included in the Nintendo Switch version. In the Wii version, the motion controls were fantastic, allowing us to aim precisely and make fine adjustments with subtle wrist movements. It would have been easy to add this option in the Switch version since the Joy-Cons have the ability to detect the user's movements and orientations.

En cuanto al apartado sonoro, todo suena genial. Se mantienen los extraordinarios efectos de sonido y el doblaje característico del juego, con voces en inglés para los protagonistas y en español para los habitantes de la aldea. Sin embargo, es importante destacar que, como es común en los juegos de la saga Resident Evil, las voces en español pueden sonar exageradas y graciosas, lo que a algunos jugadores les puede resultar divertido pero a otros puede molestarles un poco, para mí eso le da el toque a este juego. Además, es curioso notar que la traducción de los textos tiene algunos errores que no se encuentran en otras versiones. Aunque no son errores graves, pueden resultar molestos, especialmente para aquellos que disfrutan del juego en su idioma original. Afortunadamente, son detalles menores que no afectan demasiado a la jugabilidad del juego.
Regarding the sound section, everything sounds great. The extraordinary sound effects and distinctive dubbing of the game are maintained, with English voices for the protagonists and Spanish voices for the villagers. However, it is important to note that, as is common in the Resident Evil series games, the Spanish voices can sound exaggerated and funny, which some players may find entertaining but others may find a little annoying. For me, that gives this game its charm. Additionally, it is interesting to note that the translation of the texts has some errors that are not found in other versions. Although they are not serious errors, they can be annoying, especially for those who enjoy the game in its original language. Fortunately, these are minor details that do not affect the gameplay too much.

En esta versión se encuentra incluido todo el contenido lanzado para el juego, incluyendo el escenario Separate Ways, el cual permite a los jugadores controlar a Ada Wong y explorar los eventos desde su perspectiva. Para mí, uno de los aspectos más sobresalientes del juego fue pasar tiempo con Ada, ya que su habilidad para trepar y esquivar la hace un personaje emocionante y diferente de jugar. Terminé el juego en la dificultad normal y profesional, logré desbloquear la P.R.L. 412. Sin embargo, al jugar el modo mercenarios, no he podido ser capaz al momento de lograr las máximas calificaciones con todos los personajes y en todos los escenarios. Sigo pendiente en este modo.
I finished the game on normal and professional difficulty and managed to unlock the P.R.L. 412. However, when playing the mercenaries mode, I haven't been able to achieve the maximum scores with all characters and on all scenarios yet. I'm still working on it.

En conclusión, si bien es cierto que Resident Evil 4 en la Nintendo Switch no es la versión más pulida del juego, sigue siendo una excelente opción para aquellos que buscan revivir una de las mejores entregas de la saga. Sin embargo, si eres un jugador exigente en términos de rendimiento y gráficos, puede que quedes un poco decepcionado con esta versión. Mejor espera el remake que está próximo en salir.
In conclusion, while it is true that Resident Evil 4 on Nintendo Switch is not the most polished version of the game, it remains an excellent option for those looking to relive one of the best installments in the franchise. However, if you are a demanding player in terms of performance and graphics, you may be a little disappointed with this version. It is better to wait for the upcoming remake.

De los mejores juegos de la historia, para mi.
Es una espinita que tengo, a pesar de que nunca lo pude culminar (lo jugaba para PS2 y cuando intentaba guardar la partida me decia que el archivo estaba dañado) me gustaba mucho las emociones que me transmitia, el suspenso y la accion.
No llegaba muy lejos por ese inconveniente de no poder guardar la partida, asi que me consolaba viendo gameplays de otras personas que si lo podian pasar.
Quiza en un futuro podria intentar jugarlo de nuevo.
