I had a similar problem with a Lenovo laptop I was using years back. For some reason I didn’t think of changing a charger as I thought it was the charging port of my laptop. I abandoned that laptop later on though .
As I read on I thought it was the charging port like it happened to me but you’re fortunate. For now I don’t want to have a laptop problem as I am thin on my budget.
My laptop does a lot of things for me now so it’ll be a disaster.
Might have just been a charger situation. Too bad for your old laptop.
