Some time ago, I don't know what got into me, but I felt like learning to play an instrument. I had tried it a few years ago, but it didn't go very well since the instrument I had chosen at that time was not my forte and the reason for learning was not so much for pleasure but because my dad also wanted me to learn to play something.
Anyway, back to the present, I had an internal debate and decided that I wanted to learn to play the piano since it is an instrument that has called my attention. I told my parents about it and of course they agreed, especially my dad, so we started to investigate good, nice and cheap keyboard models, after a few days we decided that the best option would be to buy a Yamaha PSR-E273 since it had an affordable price. However, when I told my friend @ikasumanera about it, he immediately advised me to discard the idea since it is a model that has no sensitivity (he practically told me it was a toy) sadly as I said before it was the most affordable model I had and buying a sensitive one would cost me twice as much.
And as I am stubborn and he was, moreover, kept insisting me to buy another model, I consulted with another friend, this time @perceval, and he told me practically the same thing. When I finally fell into temptation, we began to investigate sensitive models, but outside the country where I currently reside and obviously the purchase was cheaper than here, but if we added the shipping from the U.S. to Ecuador it was practically the same as buying it here. In the end I consulted with my parents and they agreed to pay a little more (i.e. to go into debt with the bank more than we were going to do initially).
And that is the story of how I met the love of my life, the Casio CT-X800.
I admit this will not be a review as such since I know NOTHING about keyboards. This is mostly unboxing and a little opinion from my side, not very detailed since as I said before I know little or nothing about keyboards.
The box only contains the keyboard with its respective instructions and user guides, and a music stand to place the scores (in nine languages), on the front of the box there is only a picture of the keyboard along with the model's name. On the back it specifies the characteristics of the piano. And obviously the power adapter could not be missing. Along with all this came the support for the piano and its respective lining.
As you can see from the box, this keyboard has everything, the only thing it lacks is talking.
I would like to talk in depth about the user guide, but the truth is that I haven't finished reading it, because I don't want to get too much into the buttons that come on the keyboard, not because I'm lazy obviously. It's mostly because I'm not going to use them, at least not at the moment since I'm just learning.
What I would like to highlight in the user's guide is the learning section, because the piano comes with lessons for you to learn (or to break your fingers, whichever comes first). This section, apart from guiding you in the use of this mode, comes with a list of songs and exercises to help you practice (I don't post pictures of this list because, as you will notice, I have the pulse of a maraquero and no picture comes out decent).
Now generally speaking, I love this keyboard. I know it's not a very objective opinion but as I said before I don't know anything about keyboards, I'm just learning how one works.
But from my point of view, it is a good keyboard to start with because despite what I said before regarding its functions, they are somewhat basic (according to the store's advisors) and it is dynamic in certain aspects, it allows you to be self-taught to a certain extent.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this keyboard if like me you are a beginner. It can be a bit expensive; I'm not going to lie to you, but if you are really willing to learn and dedicate time to it, you won't regret it.

Hace un tiempo, no sé qué me pico, pero me entraron ganas de aprender a tocar algún instrumento. Esto lo había intentado hace algunos años, pero no me fue muy bien ya que el instrumento que había escogido en aquella ocasión no era mi fuerte y el motivo de aprender no era tanto por gusto si no porque mi papá también quería que aprendiera a tocar algo.
En fin, volviendo al presente, tuve un debate interno y decidí que quería aprender a tocar el piano ya que es un instrumento que SI ha llamado mi atención. Se lo comente a mis padres y por supuesto que estuvieron de acuerdo, sobre todo mi papá, así que comenzamos a investigar modelos de teclados buenos, bonitos y baratos, luego de unos días decidimos que la mejor opción sería comprar un Yamaha PSR-E273 ya que tenía un precio accesible. Sin embargo, cuando se lo comente a mi pana @ikasumanera, inmediatamente me aconsejo descartar la idea ya que es un modelo que no posee sensibilidad (prácticamente me dijo que era un juguete) tristemente como dije antes era el modelo más accesible que tenía y comprar uno sensitivo me costaría el doble.
Y como soy terca y él lo, es más, siguió insistiéndome en comprar otro modelo, lo consulte con otro amigo, esta vez @perceval, y me dijo prácticamente lo mismo. Cuando finalmente caí en la tentación comenzamos a investigar modelos sensitivos, pero fuera del país donde resido actualmente y obviamente la compra salía más barata que aquí, pero si le sumábamos él envió de EE.UU a Ecuador me salía prácticamente lo mismo que comprarlo aquí. Al final lo consulte con mis padres y accedieron a pagar un poco más (ósea a endeudarnos con el banco más de lo que ya lo íbamos a hacer inicialmente).
Y esa es la historia de como conocí al amor de mi vida, el Casio CT-X800.
Lo admito esto no sera una review como tal ya que yo no sé NADA sobre teclados. Esto más que nada unboxing y una pequeña opinion de mi parte, no muy detallada ya que como dije antes se poco o nada sobre teclados.
La caja no trae más que el teclado junto a sus respectivos instructivos y guías de usuario, y un atril para colocar las partituras (en nueve idiomas), en la parte frontal de la caja se encuentra únicamente una imagen del teclado junto al nombre del modelo. En su parte trasera especifica las características del piano. Y obviamente no podia faltar el adaptador a corriente. Junto a todo esto venia el soporte para el piano y su respectivo forro.
Como pueden ver en la caja, este teclado tiene de todo, lo único que le falta es hablar.
Quisiera hablar a profundidad sobre la guía de usuario, pero la verdad es que no la he terminado de leer, ya que no quiero meterme demasiado con los botones que vienen en el teclado, no por floja obviamente. Mas que nada es porque no los voy a usar, al menos no de momento ya que apenas estoy aprendiendo.
Lo que si quisiera destacar de la guía de usuario es el apartado de aprendizaje, porque si el piano viene con lecciones para que aprendas (o para que se te fracturen los dedos, lo que pase primero). Este apartado, aparte de guiarte en el uso de este modo, viene con una lista de canciones y ejercicios para ayudarte a practicar (no coloco fotos de esta lista ya que, como se darán cuenta, tengo pulso de maraquero y ninguna foto sale decente)
Ahora hablando en líneas generales, me encanta este teclado. Se que no es una opinion muy objetiva pero como dije con anterioridad no sé nada de teclados, apenas estoy aprendiendo cómo funciona uno.
Pero desde mi punto de vista es un buen teclado para comenzar ya que pese a lo que dije antes con respecto a sus funciones, son algo básico (según los asesores de la tienda) y es dinámico en ciertos aspectos, te permite ser autodidacta hasta cierto punto.
En conclusión, recomiendo mucho este teclado si al igual que yo eres principiante. Puede llegar a ser un poco costoso, no les voy a mentir, pero si de verdad están dispuestos a aprender y a dedicarle tiempo no se arrepentirán.

Lei el post y me encantaria saber el precio porque tengo dudas si comprar uno de esos Yamaha PSR que estan en marketplace o pasarme al lado de Casio, estaria genial tambien, como es un instrumento que haya un video en el post para entender como se escucha
Me parece como mínimo ofensivo que no se me hace mención en esta historia, yo también participé, las preferencias...
Ya en serio, el teclado se ve bastante brutal, de no ser tan caro me compraría uno, pero yo realmente no sé si me dedicaría de verdad a aprender a tocar piano, por lo que seguro me busco un modelo más barato, con que suene bien me basta.
En cualquier caso, que disfrutes el teclado, y cuando te aburras siempre puedes cambiarlo por una pc gamer 😈
Muy bien, te felicito por tu iniciativa de aprender a tocar teclado, yo me compré un en 2019, y suelo practicar viendo tutoriales en youtube y viendo como tocar las canciones que me gustan a traves del software sinthesia, el cual me parece muy util. Ha sido un camino dificil pues no cuento con ningun profesor, lo que he aprendido ha sido de forma autodidacta, creo que si tenemos la motivación todo es posible, te deseo mucho éxito, que aprendas a tocar el instrumenta y le tomes tanto amor que en ningun momento desistas, saludos
