Vermicats and its benefits

Vermicast, also called worm castings are worm waste produced by earthworms. The process is called vermicasting. These castings contain reduced levels of contaminants and a higher saturation of nutrients than the organic materials before vermicomposting.
When earthworms eat through compost, their waste creates optimal soil enrichment.

Benefits of using Vermicast

  • It helps soil absorb and retain moisture.
  • It helps the soil particles clump together, improving soil structure.
  • It improves soil aeration.
  • It contains nutrients that are released gradually into the soil which your plant will absorb.
  • It helps plants to grow stronger and faster.
  • It has a neutral pH.
  • It contains beneficial acids.
  • It has beneficial microbes that help in suppressing diseases.

I adore the advantages of the organic fertilizer produced by these worms because I am a farmer.
