It's been 4 months since I tried to propagate Eugenia Plant. As I featured in my previous article, Eugenia Plant is a shrub used by gardeners as a privacy barrier. It is also cut and designed to any shape one like (i.e. animals, or a castle or simply a cone).
After almost 4 months, since I tried to propagate it, I opened the plastic bag containing the cuttings.

I was too excited to open it because finally, I can have my own Eugenia Plant for my garden. Or so I thought.
Pulling it out from where I hide it (a shaded area under my plant rack) I already noticed that the leaves turned brown.
the Eugenia cuttings propagated
When I opened it, I was devastated to what I saw. Everything were brown.
It used to look like this:

I pulled the cuttings to check if there were roots, unfortunately, there were none. All the cuttings died.
Anyway, this is my first time to try ICU Propagation. I will research more and try again next time. Who knows, I'll be lucky by then.
As Franklin Roosevelt said:
"It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something."
