Do you still remember the Acquaintance Parties you had in your schools? A time to have fun with friends, build connection and camaraderie. And you know what makes it more interesting? It's dressing up according to a specific theme agreed on.
Our 2K23 Acquaintance party during my third-year in college was my fav one I had as a university student. Our theme was Y2K so we had to dress ourselves in the trendy fashion of the 2000s.
For my fit, I looked up for an inspo on Pinterest. I then borrowed my parents' closet, grabbed my mom's black wide-leg trousers and my father's long sleeve shirt. My father's kinda huge of a man so the shirt looked oversized to me which I find really adorable.
My friends and I agreed on to get changed at a mall since we were also the ones tasked to get dinner for our block section.
We put on our attires, put some make up on, and styled our hairs. Afterwards, we head to the nearest Jollibee chain since that's where we are getting our dinner. After getting everything we needed, we booked two tricycle cabs and went straight back to university.
The fun was just getting started the moment we arrived, we put our dinner to our designated room and went on to join the fun as if we're big party people 🤡.

At 7 p.m. we had our dinner, took some class groups photos. And of course, we took some photos with our homies in the photo booth organized by the Department of Technology.

Another thing we love about having activities in the university is that we can gather around with our close friends who are from other departments.
We got some boba and some adorable bracelets, watched the live band a little bit, and waited for the fireworks event to go off.
Screams and cheering can be heard as we all look at the sky getting filled with colorful sparks of light.
After a couple of hours, we decided to head to somewhere less crowded. We introverts are running out of social battery a bit sooner as expected.

We all looked so adorable in our fits, giving different vibes. My fit and my hairstyle are kind of inspired by the Korean fashion, as it has always been my thing. Well, after spending almost my entire life exposing myself to the Korean craft, how could I not be influenced by it? I claim that ever since before the Korean Hallyu Wave became such a big thing, I had always been a fan of Korean dramas and music. I'm an OG fan 😌, and I'm so much proud of it.
The acquaintance party was so much filled with laughter and fun memories. We had our own way of spending the night, and it's everything to me. The following week might have been our finals week examination, but that doesn't stop us from having fun. It's a break we badly needed before transitioning to a heavy no-sleep week. That's how we survive this university life. And I would say, among the three acquaintance parties I experienced at our university, this party we had in our 3rd year is the best one for me.
