At our home, we treat Sundays with special reverence. Family time relaxation and rejuvenation occur on this special day. The routine remained unchanged this past Sunday. I rose early to create a fantastic day for both my wife and my son.
To allow my wife the complete Sunday relaxation experience I began performing the household work. First I began with handling the laundry basket that contained way too many clothes. Background noises from the washing machine created peaceful patterns as I prepared her breakfast while cleaning the floor and preparing the laundry setting. I prompted my wife to return to bed for rest before she quickly grasped her chance to sleep. She needs relaxation and rest since she deals with heavy responsibilities in life.
I spent the afternoon pampering my family. We went to LR's Halo-Halo Silogan, a nearby staple renowned for its mouthwatering desserts and reasonably priced Filipino meals.
We enjoyed a cool mango float, a rich dessert consisting of layers of delicious mangoes, icy creamy evaporated milk, and a covering scoop of ice cream.
We also requested limitless rice to go with our sweet delight, and we experienced a delicious dish of Filipino grilled chicken called Chicken Inasal.
Following our full meal, we were thankful for all of life's blessings. After travelling to church,
We lit a candle to give thanks to God for our family, our good health, and everything else in our lives.
After solemnly prayer and thanking God for everything, we proceeded with our afternoon activities.
Our boy needed a cut so we brought him to the local barber shop. The neat chair welcomed him as the experienced barber carried his hair. After the visit to the barbershop, he had a clean appearance, a persistent smile, and fresh brilliance.
We got home feeling full of gratitude because of the time we spent with our family as day the faded into the day. Kensington hosted a quality family day of rest and relaxation which earned our family's designation as the ideal Sunday.
Sunday dawned as a reminder that actual happiness emerges from basic life pleasures which combine family time with worthwhile food consumption coupled with gratefulness for the gifts received. Slowing down lets us both enjoy the present time while we cherish the valuable family time we have.
