Resulta que llevábamos planeando desde hacía tiempo alguna salida entre todos, pero queríamos que fuese a un lugar fuera de la ciudad, fuera de la universidad, algo que nunca hubiésemos hecho. Nos apetecía reunirnos en alguna piscina, un río o una playa, pasar un día diferente.

It turns out that we had been planning an outing together for some time, but we wanted it to be somewhere out of town, outside the university, something we had never done before. We wanted to get together at a pool, a river or a beach, spend a different day.
Por suerte una amiga conocía un muchacho que para esos días estaba alquilando una guagua para pasar el día en la playa, aprovechamos la oportunidad y no lo pensamos dos veces, además de que el precio del alquiler era bastante asequible. Nos fuimos un sábado para Cayó Jutías, la playa más linda que tiene la ciudad más occidental de Cuba.

Luckily a friend of mine knew a guy who was renting a bus to spend the day at the beach, so we took advantage of the opportunity and did not think twice, besides the rental price was quite affordable. We left on a Saturday for Cayó Jutías, the most beautiful beach in the westernmost city of Cuba.
Al final muchos amigos del aula no pusieron ir, algunos porque tenían otros planes, otros porque estaban enfermos, y algún que otro que no estaba en la ciudad. Los que fuimos la pasamos increíble. La guagua nos recogió en el punto acordado, y fuimos el viaje entero escuchando música, un viaje bastante tranquilo para una guagua de estudiantes Universitarios, un viaje un poco largo además, porque la distancia es aproximadamente de dos horas en dependencia del transporte en que se vaya.

In the end many friends of the class did not go, some because they had other plans, others because they were sick, and some were out of town. Those of us who went had an incredible time. The bus picked us up at the agreed point, and we went the whole trip listening to music, a pretty quiet trip for a bus of university students, a trip a little long too, because the distance is about two hours depending on the transport in which you go.
Llegamos en un buen horario a la playa, estaba comenzando a salir el sol, y aprovechamos para ocupar la mejor parte ya que no habían muchas personas porque aún era temprano. Organizamos todo, nos cambiamos y para la playa!!!
Pasamos un día genial, cerca nuestro habían personas que tenían un equipo de música que nos acompañó en toda la estancia. Tomamos piñas coladas y organizamos un almuerzo que compartimos entre todos con las cosas que habíamos llevado cada uno.

We arrived at a good time to the beach, the sun was beginning to rise, and we took the opportunity to occupy the best part of the beach since there were not many people because it was still early. We organized everything, got changed and went to the beach!
We had a great day, near us there were people who had a stereo that accompanied us throughout the stay. We had pina coladas and organized a lunch that we all shared with the things that we had brought with us.
Al mediodía dimos un recorrido por la orilla de la playa, que aunque había un sol bastante fuerte, la caminata valió la pena. Además con el sol que había las fotografías quedaban mucho mejor, la luz del día siempre es acertada para captar imágenes.Algunos estábamos para una parte de la playa donde hay pinos, la que escogimos por la sombra y porque suele ser el lugar más tranquilo. Otros se quedaron en la entrada, dónde siempre hay más personas. En la caminata nos llegamos a dónde estaban ellos, estuvimos un rato en esa parte de la playa y después regresamos.

At noon we took a walk along the shore of the beach, although the sun was quite strong, the walk was worth it. Some of us went to a part of the beach where there are pine trees, which we chose because of the shade and because it is usually the quietest place. Others stayed at the entrance, where there are always more people. On the walk we got to where they were, spent some time on that part of the beach and then returned.
A las cinco era la recogida y la salida, así que sobre esa hora ya estábamos todos montándonos en la guagua y saliendo hacia Pinar. Íbamos todos bastante agotados, normalmente los viajes a la playa siempre terminan así, todos cansando y colorados jajaja. Pero sin dudas fue un viaje excelente, la pasamos muy bien, y cumplimos con nuestro objetivo que era pasar un día diferente entre todos, y despejar de la clases y la Universidad.

At five o'clock was the pick up and departure, so around that time we were all getting on the bus and leaving for Pinar. We were all pretty exhausted, usually trips to the beach always end up like that, all tired and red hahaha. But without a doubt it was an excellent trip, we had a great time, and we fulfilled our goal which was to spend a different day together, and get away from the classes and the University.

Recién estoy empezando en la universidad y me hace mucha ilusión irme a un viajecito así con ellos. Se nota que pasaron un día increíble, y las fotos están preciosas.
