“My Unforgettable Experience as a Bridesmaid”💍

Being a bridesmaid is more than just wearing a pretty dress and standing next to the bride. It's a mix of emotions, tasks, and special moments. From the excitement before the wedding to the joy of seeing one of our family members dream come true, my story is filled with the simple yet memorable experiences that make this role so unique.✨

June 15th will always be a one of the unforgettable day for me. I had the honor of being a bridesmaid at my father's cousin's wedding, and it was a day filled with excitement, early starts, and a lot of activities.🥳

Early Morning Start.🌅

The day began at 2 AM, which felt incredibly early. I had to be at Dulcee Hotel by 3 AM for the wedding preparations. I had already taken a shower the night before, so I just washed my face, brushed my teeth, and gathered my belongings. At 2:40 AM, I left home, ready for the busy day ahead.

I arrived at Dulcee Hotel exactly at 3 AM and called my father's cousin to let her know I was there. She told me to go to room 203. Initially, the hotel staff were resisting to let me in because it was so early, but they eventually allowed me to proceed since I was the only visitor at that hour.🕰️

Preparations Begin.💋

Entering room 203, I found a few people already busy with makeup preparations. I waited for my turn and finally sat in front of the makeup artist.

As she worked on my face, I was amazed at how fantastic I looked. The makeup suited me perfectly and made me feel beautiful and confident.💅

Next, we changed into green robes provided for the photoshoot, as green was the wedding theme.💚

After changing, we headed to the rooftop for breakfast. The bride had thoughtfully brought 20 Jollibee meals for us.🍗

The sunrise was breathtaking, and I couldn't resist taking a picture of it. Starving, I quickly ate my meal and felt ready for the rest of the day.🌤️

Photoshoots and Bonding.📸

With breakfast done, it was time to have our hair done. We had the option of wearing our hair up or down; I chose to let mine down, as it suited me best.🎀

Back at the rooftop, we waited for the bride to arrive for the photoshoot. When she did, looking stunning in her gown, we started with various poses and formations, guided by a professional photographer.

During the photoshoot, the bride gave us small gifts—cute shades and hand fans, which we used as props. We took many photos, capturing moments with the bride, the maid of honor, and the other bridesmaids.💐

It was fun and helped us bond, turning us from mere acquaintances into friends. We even attempted a video challenge, dancing and laughing despite our lack of synchronization.

Heading to the Church.💒

After the photoshoot, we changed into elegant green gowns and had our makeup retouched. The ground floor was too crowded for our next photoshoot, so we returned to the rooftop.

We took more pictures, becoming more comfortable and close to each other. The bride looked gorgeous, and we enjoyed every moment, even laughing at the scripted poses.

When it was time, we headed to the church in a rented "multicab" or "jeep." The wedding was held at Langtad’s Church. Upon arrival, the coordinator organized us, and we lined up with our partners. My partner was my cousin, which made the experience more comfortable. The flower girls were adorable, and everyone looked amazing.🤩

The Ceremony.💍

As the wedding began, we walked down the aisle as instructed by the coordinator, feeling the moment.

Once we were in our seats we remained standing, we watched as the bride walked down the aisle, her parents in tears.

The mass started, and we listened intently, watching the couple's union with joy. There were moments of laughter and tears, making the ceremony heartfelt and memorable.

Reception and Celebrations.🍾

After the mass, we took photos with the bride and groom's relatives and colleagues. We wished the newlyweds well and headed to the bride’s residence at Langtad Vrama for the reception. The coordinator lined us up for a grand entrance, and we prepared our dance moves. As the first pair, we danced spontaneously, setting a joyful tone for the event.

The newlyweds, Mr. & Mrs. Nuena, had their special moment as we circled them, dancing and celebrating their union.

A solemn dance followed, then the cake cutting, and finally, lunch. The food was delicious, featuring dishes like beef steak, sweet and sour pork, and "lechon."😋

Speeches and Gifts.🎁

After lunch, there were speeches and messages from special guests, followed by the opening of gifts. The event ended nicely, and we thanked everyone, especially the newlyweds, before heading home. It was an exhausting but incredibly enjoyable day.

Being a bridesmaid at my father's cousin's wedding was an unforgettable experience. From the early morning preparations to the heartfelt ceremony and joyful reception, every moment was filled with love, laughter, and special memories. It's a day I will cherish forever, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a special event.☺️

The experience of being a bridesmaid taught me a lot about the effort that goes into planning a wedding. It was a beautiful day filled with love and joy. I made new friends, shared many laughs, and witnessed a beautiful union. This day will always hold a special place in my heart.💕
