The last time we saw our beloved friends Alfonso and Patricia Monsalve was in 2017. My family and I were migrating to Lima Peru and we passed through the city of Merida in Venezuela to say goodbye to family and friends, my husband is from the city of Merida and although his parents are Colombian they lived for 55 years in the country, so more than half of their lives have lived in Venezuela, therefore most of my husband's friends live in Merida. Lo cierto es que estuvimos con ellos dos días antes de retomar nuestro camino a Lima y finalmente nos despedimos con el corazón compungido por la sensación de que pasaría mucho tiempo antes de volvernos a ver.

Al llegar a casa, esa mezcla de sentimientos y emociones nos invadieron. El ver rostros familiares después de algún tiempo de ausencia produce en nosotros una felicidad que es difícil describir. Entre risas y frases como: "estás igualita" nos abrazamos. Y conversamos un poco aunque era difícil entender ya que hablamos y reíamos todos al mismo tiempo.
