Parents

Greetings! How's your parents? This is an age long question facing every child whose parent is alive. This question is as old as the world. If you are opportuned to live and grow with your parents, you are truly blessed. Yes, being raised by biological parents is a great blessing to be grateful for. Parents sacrifice a lot for the family.

Once a man gets married and a child is born in the union, responsibilities have increased. Right from the day, the child is conceived, loving parents make sure they will do their utmost to ensure the pregnancy journey records success. The mother especially sacrificed almost everything; her time, her comfort, her interest, her career(if necessary ) to make sure she sustained the life implanted in her by the creator, while the father is bent on providing necessities for the upkeep of family, even the unborn. When the baby is finally arrived, intense joy and happiness fills the family, so is their role and responsibilities. The parents, in-laws, family and friends share in helping the newborn and the family to ensure progress. Some will bring gifts, others render physical help to the baby and mother, until the infant gradually keeps growing. The parents on the other hand sacrifice their time, energy and resources to sustain the precious thrust in their hands. The mother spends many sleepless nights taking care of the baby, keenly focused that she discern the baby's needs at every cry. As the baby grows to a toddler and to a school aged child, the care and responsibilities rest on the shoulders of the parents until he becomes a full adult, parents will continue to guide through adolescent age with its stressors both on the part of the child and the parents. Infact, parental roles doesn't end until the parents die.

The anxiety of securing the future of the child through higher education or apprenticeship lies on their shoulders. Even though some responsibilities will be off their shoulders as their child turns to a full grown adult but not entirely. Sharing thoughts and life's experiences is a major training as well. Have you heard of a case where an individual said ' if i had listen to my parents, I wouldn't have been in this situation' or 'am happy to have listened to my parents' this instances show that parents are invaluable. They are priceless. This is because since they have lived longer than us, they have seen many facets of life; the good side, the bad side. Even as humans they have learned from their mistakes too, as a result they have gained wealth of experiences and are in better situation to give sound advice, warning, encouragement.

What about those whose parent/s is are late? My hubby usually says 'if my father had been alive, i would have been a medical doctor, i would have flown abroad........ what about those who never see their parents at all? All hope is not lost! You are by this writeup encouraged. Wakup, thinkless and muscle up. Be determined to succeed, make good friends that share like minds, Look for a good parent-figure, listen and apply good advice. My native adage say 'an eagle should learn from a fowl's death, because they are all birds'. Do you have parents? Cherish them! Have you lost your parents? Never loose hope. This is mayinleo.
