Last week, I wrote a blog post about our trip to Lingayen, Pangasinan. You can read the blog here. I also mentioned that we went there for a specific reason. Now, I'm writing about it.
Since there was a celebration, we woke up around 6:00 a.m. I witnessed a slow and peaceful morning in this beautiful place. When I got out of the room where we were staying, I captured the scene outside.
After breakfast, we were invited to the public market to buy souvenirs and food delicacies. Since this was my first time going there, I decided to go with them, too.
We saw the beautiful scenery again on our way to the market and souvenir shop. Water is usually everywhere since it's mostly their primary source of income.
Also, we saw a tall, old-style church just beside the market, and I did not hesitate to take pictures. However, we got busy looking around and buying stuff, so I did not capture much during that moment. We enjoyed asking about their best food delicacies, too.
After walking around the market, we decided to go back home. It's almost lunchtime, and the event will start soon. When we got home, people were already setting up everything—from the tables and chairs to the food. It was a busy day for everyone.
Once the preparations were complete, guests started coming in, but we had to wait for the priest. If I have not yet mentioned, this was a celebration of the couple's 25th wedding anniversary, and the married couple decided to renew their vows.
The event went on, and we were also part of it. We listened to their promises and heard how they talked about all the hardships and challenges in their marriage. They got through it all and had a strong bond throughout their years of marriage.
