When you are a kid, there are only three things that occupies your mind - playtime, school days, and yummy foods. We all went through this stage as well, and now that I also have niece and nephews, I am more understanding when it comes to their requests. Recently, they were telling me how they already miss going to the beach since the school days just started. So, to make them happy, I decided to bring them to the seashore and enjoy for a bit. Here's our simple afternoon bonding together.
When I told them that we will be going to the beach, they were so excited. The school days are only around Monday to Friday, so we planned the beach getaway on a weekend. The moment we got to the beach, we were welcomed by groups of people watching the sunset. Yes, we decided to go late in the afternoon so we could watch the sunset.
But first and foremost, we have to buy our snacks. Fortunately, there are a lot of food stalls located just a few walks away from the beach and we just need to choose what foods to buy. This has been a popular beach spot in our town since it is easier to access, plus a lot of people go here to unwind, enjoy a beach, or just sit down and watch the sunset.
We headed to the food stalls first and checked out the available foods they offer. There are a lot of options, but our cravings made it easier for us to decide.
And as usual, the kids only asked for French Fries and juice drinks. We just ordered them, and waited for a few minutes. And for us adults, we were craving for some Filipino street foods. And that is what we decided to have, plus a Samgyeopsal in a bowl. After waiting for about 15 minutes, our orders are ready, and we brought them with us as we started walking towards the seashore.
We brought with us a picnic mat we could enjoy our simple picnic at the beach. Once everything was organized, we already sat down and the kids went to the seashore to play with the waves. They were too excited to do that, and we just let them enjoy. And when they were already feeling the hunger, they went to our spot and I handed over their foods and drinks.
The weather was fine, and we just watched the sunset first before getting soaked as well. Overall, even though it was just a quick and simple beach getaway, the smiles from my nephews' faces were priceless and we will definitely plan another bonding moment like this soon.
