I will be sharing with you our road trip to the mountain with my family and friends. It was last Saturday that we decided to take a road trip to the mountain. Early in the morning since it was planned the night before we went to the market to buy fresh food to bring on our road trip.

From the market, I prepare the food to bring. I marinated the pork and fish for grilling. I also make ceviche or fresh fish eaten raw, in our language it is kinilaw.
I also bought some lettuce, a very good partnered with grilled pork. Then I prepared the steamed sweet corn for snacks.
Before lunch, we started our road trip. We had the destination, we were heading to a spring and a lake at barangay Alpaco City of Naga. The road was just fine when we reached Barangay Jaguimit which we always passed by during our feeding. But when we passed through the road of barangay Alpaco small landslides were happening. The roads were bumpy and some roads collapsed, we passed on the side instead of in the middle of the road.

We were using Google Maps but we also asked some residents that we passed by. As we were traveling we could see the beauty of nature. There were rice fields, Bitter melon farms, and dragon fruit that almost died due to the heat of the sun. It makes us feel relaxed while the wind touches our faces. I missed living in the province, this life is awesome.
Some people let their rice grains dry on the basketball court or the roadside. It was a big help for them since rice nowadays is so expensive.

After a 40-minute drive, we reached our destination. It was just a simple place not so big but if I live nearby I rather choose this place. Not crowded but a good place to unwind from city life. You can only hear the birds chirp and the sound of the waters from the spring. When we arrived they had a warm welcome and since we were not going to go swimming but just relaxing they gave us discounts.
It was a spring resort with pools, a slide for the kids, and a nice place to be with family. The star apples fruit is free to get, and they have also a videoke and billiard hall. The water is so cold, perfect for hot weather. We grilled the pork and the fish and then ate our lunch. My husband takes a nap since the place is cold also.

We enjoy our fellowship with my family and our workers. This is the bond needed for every family and siblings. This helps us stress out the whole week's responsibility. They also accept overnight stays, best for retreats. We asked for the lake but they told us not to go there since it was far and the road was very scary. We stayed a little longer and before sunset, we went on our way home.
It was a very nice adventure, road-tripping at the mountain, and ended with a beautiful nature gift.
