You know what's really nice? People who love you. My birthday in a post...
Life has certain moments, stages rather, that seem to make a more noticeable difference than others.... For example when you may be aware of the first memory in your memory, or some celebration with family or friends. Even a Christmas present or a majestic moment with one of your parents... No matter how old you get, two things will inevitably happen: you will erase moments that were not so important from your memories, and you will never be able to forget what love has done for you... I will try to tell you about the latter today.
A couple of days ago I had my birthday. It was my 32nd birthday... Yes, I know... I don't need to be reminded that I'm no longer a girl of twenty, hahaha. However, that I add more laps of the sun to my exitencis, only makes my capacity for appreciation more epic. And this phenomenon is something that only gets better with age: being able to be aware of the importance of having people who really love you, no matter what. That satisfaction that can only be experienced with a few individuals is a precious, powerful bonus, and something that I have been able to notice more in this birthday celebration.
In the old days, I used to worry about really less important things. From what gifts I would receive to concealing my age for fear of what people would say... Certainly absurd and very irrelevant questions, but typical of more childish and immature moments. Which is not to say that, out of nowhere, suddenly, I have become ‘enlightened’, ‘erudite’, not at all. But seeing that my happiness has a conformation as simple as elementsl, makes everything take an unexpected turn. To give a brief example, my boyfriend....
He actually took the time to take me out for lunch. Together with my daughter, they planned for me to have the best lunch possible, with dishes that only I would enjoy. They both conspired with the sole aim of making me really happy. It is different when you are a child and you see everything through illusion, play and adventure? These days I have been more reflective and attentive to those details that make everything in my life different. Without a doubt, I have been lucky. I have them, who are very much an inspiration and a powerful asset to me. I love being with them both and count on them for everything. And honestly, I couldn't have been more and better accompanied.
Sometimes, the elemental is invisible to reason... For some reason it is a phrase that is attributed to ‘The Little Prince’, a fantastic book for children; that I had already heard and read a long time ago but that only a couple of days ago I had the epiphany of discovering its meaning. They are the most elemental and precious thing I have in my life, and to see them motivated and really happy for having made me happy is something touching and difficult to explain with words. It has been a birthday where I have been most happy and fully thoughtful. Two qualities that I have not always had in my life and that I appreciate having at this stage of my life. I am lucky to have them in my life, they have been my greatest gift.
