CME Days: A Fun Day With My Friends °🥂⋆.ೃ🍾࿔*:･

Sunshine and smiles, Hivers! It was been a while since I posted a new blog. In this blog, I'm going to share to you all the highlights from Day 2 of our CME Days at school. Let’s get started!

Last year, our department held a celebration called CME Days. CME Days is an annual event of our department that talks about showcasing the talents of students in our department. This celebration has a lot of activities related to hospitality management and tourism management.

One of the events we attended first was the art gallery organized by the third-year students as part of their MICE course. As you can see in the pictures, there were tons of artworks displayed all over the room. These art pieces were created by the second-year students that has a art appreciation course.

Some of the artworks displayed were made by my classmates, and my own artwork was also included in the gallery, but I didn’t take a picture of it since I was busy viewing and strolling around the art gallery.

Of all the artworks displayed, one of the artworks that I really love is the book with a heart at the center. The details and creativity that was done by the artist in this piece are truly amazing. The art piece was very beautiful in person because you can actually see how it was made and the heart sculpted.

After strolling at the art gallery, we decided to watch the cake decorating competition. As you can see in the pictures, students from various year levels participated in this contest. They showcased their talents in cake design. Each group has a five members who help each other to create their decorated cakes.

I really love this cake. The details and design of the cake were truly amazing. Just look at how beautiful it is compared to the decorations of the other contestants. This cake reminds me of a whimsical pink theme like a Barbie style. I salute to those students who make this design because they really work hard achieving this kind of design and they really had a brainstorming and planning after they applied to the contest.

After watching the cake decoration competition, we stroll around the campus and had our lunch since it was noon. When we're finished eating, we help our classmates in preparing for their bartending contest happened in the evening. We helped them practice flaring techniques and create their signature drink, the love potion.

When the night comes, we helped them finalize their setup and give them tips on how to execute their flair bartending in front of the judges. This contest was evaluated by our professor from our bartending class. All students under our professor's class were required to participate in this event.

As you can see in picture, this is our friends who will represent our section. They will demonstrate their flair bartending skills and also mix our signature drink in front of everyone.

Here are some photos with my friends we took before the event started. At this time, we were very excited to watch the contestants showcasing their bartending talents.

When the event started, all the contestants show their incredible skills in executing their signature drinks. As you can see in the picture, you can see my friends performing their bartending. First, they introduced their liquor and telling its benefits and the history of the signature drink they will make. After that, they will showcased their flair bartending skills and mix the drinks before serving to the judges. These judges are experts in tasting cocktails and all of them has a experienced in bartending which made all the contestants feel nervous and anxious.

As you can see in the GIF, one of the contestants who amaze both the judges and the audience making them a standing ovation for their impressive tricks. Because of that, they were awarded as the champion of this contest because to their performance. Our representatives also got the 2nd placer in this contest.

After the competition, we congratulated our friends and taste the liquor they mixed on stage. As you can see in the picture, you can see the drink they build during the contest. The drink is not appealing now since the garnishes were removed, and the ice had melted into the liquid. However, the taste was good and very tasty.

We also help them in cleaning up their equipment and packing their things since they were exhausted from practicing their flair bartending. After helping them pack up, we decided to go home.

And that's the end of my blog, Hivers! This department celebration has truly been amazing because it make us to reconsile all the knowledge we've gained throughout this program.
